Heather told us how she wanted to help even get the support and resources she needed to search for christopher, but the situation was so different. I mean at that point everything utter shock for her with, as we had something that happened very immediate, we were right their boots on the and, within you know the first thirty six hours of knowing even case was so very different, just because they weren't away, for the longest time that he was missing and you're sort of backtracking, and I think, first of all, You certainly can't believe this is happening. You can't believe it happening to you. You can't believe that happen to your child. You can't believe that all this time has that you have no manual nothing to go far to do all of these things. The only man- she was just utterly shocked and I think in this

and this has been going on for a while now obviously can. We had met and going. How do we get the search going? What what is that look like, because what happens Every official channel goes home and most people don't recognize that they do. You think, don't be always somebody there consistently at the time that your child has been. You been notified that your child isn't anything until the case is solved, and sadly that is not the case, and so When we got together, it was like watching do next and I dont know how to navigate the no parent naturally think about all the things that could happen all the scenario that could happen, but when children and then you, you ve, got to a certain age, Think, ok, there's a whole other aspects, it have to worry about that you, no control over. If you ask me what ryan you know, what I have thought going to ski resort would have resulted in this. Absolutely not. I would have thought about million different other thing heather shared with us that, even though her son and christopher we're both adults there's a lingering feeling of guilt that if something had gone differently, this wouldn't have happened. This is a feeling that loved ones often expressed to us in the stories we cover. So many months had passed her eye, I can gather that the desperation is, you always feel like you fail your child in some way. The one thing that we don't have is the skill set to do the investigation. I don't have the authority to go in and talk to people or interrogate people, or I don't have the authority to go in and and checkout building

There are any of those three things that I find to be suspicious. I certainly don't have the technology to go and do the things that I feel would be important. You, don't have that skill set and in my lifetime it is simple: likely that I will get the kind of experience and skills that I would need to do the investigations and though you rely heavily on our local law enforcement, and they, what do you do when you feel like they fall short or your please fall on. On deaf ears, You have the aspiration to find them and then the avenue their clothes and then there's only so much you can do so for it. For me, I can t searching the areas and unless something new comes up for chris's case we go back to the same place said the car was found and go kid. I'm gonna take my dear fellow where you are stuck with your law enforcement and that can and have that relationship is really important but again like any other country. Men, often with their vehicles, found abandoned, vandalized and sometimes burned along trails or other remote areas for the families involved. Its frustrating that these aren't considered suspicious circumstances that warrant further investigation could be a link at me, between some of these cases, it's hard to know for sure, but all difficult to ignore when you keep seeing similar stories pop up every few months. r c m p has stated that they found no links between the cases, but many of the families remain sceptical. Heather's, is your time working with families of the missing there, but continues to search for ryan and battle the emotions that come with, not knowing where her own son is in about how much go by

This is what we do now. We know that on Friday january, twenty fifth, two thousand and nineteen christopher went to his job. Working in construction Company he was working for had finished up that project Christopher was going to be moving to the next location, but he wasn't expected to report to work until Monday. The net work day and he had not indicated otherwise to a supervisor or coworkers after work. His membership card was scanned at his jim and staff there later stated that christopher was a regular member and recognized his picture. We know that Christopher phone was last use on january twenty fifth and remains missing as well. We know that

the following day. Saturday january, twenty six christopher went to a hospital in new westminster and was seen leaving the hospital soon thereafter, his bank card was used to make food purchases at a nearby grocery store and even told us that she believes that those purchases were consistent with items that Christopher would buy. After that, we don't know what happened to Christopher. We know that the next day, an officer with our sea mp, who was off duty at the time, observed christopher car parked in the parking lot at the Elk mountain hiking trail outside chill aware. At the time he marked the car as abandoned and noted that the cars rear window was busted out. However, the car would remain at the hiking trail through April, when police finally toad it and sent a letter to even house that notified her that christopher car had been impounded. It was during this time between when christopher disappeared and when ever found out, that is car was impounded that someone attempted to fraudulently use christopher passport and also his bank card. What took so long for law enforcement to connect the dots between the abandoned car, the attempt to fraudulently use Chris first passport in at least two fraudulent bank transactions I had been reported to the police was simply amiss: communication between law enforcement agencies and departments. It seems as though what ever happened to christopher must have transpire during a small window of time between when he left the hospital and when the car was found the following morning with the window broken. But what may have occurred, we simply don't know, was christopher. Ever even at that trail was it christopher who drove the car their important or could he have been the victim of a crime elsewhere in the car was dumped there

or is there more simple answer like he went hiking in something happened or could christopher be out there somewhere alive. The questions in this case are endless and cause Christopher family, so much heart ache and distress without any answers. At the time of his disappearance, Christopher Couture was twenty five years old. He had brown, hair and brown eyes, he's approximately five foot, eight inches tall and ways around one hundred and ninety pounds.
