Come up his dream and killed the clippers football, a great onto our story, a lot more next. This episode is presented by state farm when your team is losing you command. But when your house or car gets David's just say like a good neighbour state firm there to help file claim over the or on the app like a good neighbour state farm, is there. This episode is brought about michelob ultra there, his show beer pardon of the mba alive, michelob ultra, because it's a good drink to have with friends. It's also a good drink to just pull out of the fridge. When somebody says grab a beer and are like hey here's one about a michelob ultra guess what throws like? Oh cool, it's actually a good beer. Thank you.
banks were thinking of me right now. Michelob is getting very close to the game than ever. With michelob ultra court side, vance can enter for genuine exclusive enterprises in experience like court side seeds to see their favorite team play, learn more about global chewbacca, slash court side, l b, a twin rather badly by the ringer package that a check that the watch was this week? We did the pelican brief and we have christmas. Vacation coming up on Monday, so stay to for that in the action pack pack, as I just want to get to because we have a. We have a lot of stuff that we did in this one top of the podcast came home from warriors clippers. Oh, it was. a pretty memorable game just from Roma, where two teams are going in everything that happened this week with James someone inside, but that at the top and then nor prince
It comes on she's our terror, swift experts, the ringer, is terror, would ruin and chiefs. I'm kidding she's, not really she's, not, but we talked about taylor. Swift talked about bilbil. noise to cover the patriots once upon a time and whether he is actually out his couch and then she helped me do milliner picks or should I say the red hot bellied, our paxman last banal Is there a member? Inquired jefferson came on his new movie common out, it's actually out and some selected cities, yeah, but it's called american fiction. It's fantastic and it's probably a nominee for an oscar, but we ve got him for awhile is he's been in It's been in my life just that, through our extended acquaintances, and friends. So it's been interesting, a watch him can arise as to where he got to this movie. But that's not what we brought him up, even though we talked about the movie in his criminal suffer well here as this pitch for the entourage reboot. That is
what are the funniest things I've ever heard, so I made him, do it and that's the tail end of the package so make sure you listen to the end for that great black ass coming up. First, our friends from roger had taken package is ten toy. Three specific time just came from words papers. I said the man speed, record training, backside tip top apart. I apologize, thereby, then let the barber what's the warriors whose again to a clippers team that is there It makes me nervous. I might have need some crow consider after the hard and trade. I did it long segment and then we did it
the video and the terrible was the quivers are dumb. They did not like them tonight. they looked really good and james are not really good hold that thought a month, but the there's other worries dead. That's what I was thinkin syn. My seat as the next that might owen who have been sharecroppers tickets were, since god knows, one and we ve seen a lot of stuff courage, games, two thousand twelve thirteen. That was the first curry season when it fell something. Maybe reboot back home, maybe in the words and he had a nice little rivalry with Chris Paul who, coincidentally, he was play with the shadow corresponding over workers, but we want, come come in year after year after year, and probably around of fourteen fifteen season, warriors jerseys started populating the arena, as this is interesting, is this so happen and that this team, as is starting to feel like m J bulls ish like all his words wears jerseys and then just kept growing than they had the seventy three. When season
and by the mid two thousand tens every time, the the worse commandos ago, a home game for them, and it was all centred around curried him being a generational talent, but also the teamwork of dream on and just away the guy's played together the rain shows up. They go to a whole other lover. There, the best came in the twenty first century. I still believe that, and it starts to a little bit then comes back to you, you gotta have a resurgence and then up would entitle against my favorite team, the bus and boston celtics, and it seems I, did you can keep going and going to go into that? Our sun had stopped and it stopped many abruptly in the lakers series. Last year I remember talker I guess, Those games cause. I was gonna them just like man, this worst him the despair. This team is broken. They have real issues. You could see it on the bench they made some trades. I bush on them heading into the seas that I thought. Maybe this is of forty eight forty nine. When team at least and then dream. I just basically loses it. There
the air during the entire is it I mean I, I think he has almost as many objections and suspended games as he has games played. It was interesting reading coverage about this this week, because you know doc- and I talked on tuesday before the tuesday night game, when he swatted, nor and and then he thought dream on the really good as good as as the court as is, has awhile, and I said I think, he's into erratic. Like I she's where's games that I always villikins on the precipice of either crossing the. Why getting suspended something bad happening and even in games were nothing bad happened. It's still felt close to something bad happened like there is that in season game against sacramento, and he got mad a colony just started their karate chopping league mark and it seemed like you: wanna get kicked out and adjust like something was going on with them. The turkish play happens,
dialogue about it over the next two days, which I think just would have been completely different twenty years ago, if you compared to RON Artest rasheed wallace the way we talked about some of the kind of on the line players I ever very soon be horrified by giovanni confused by why this keeps happening. Then, once we got into the the sports structures, which I watched a few of yesterday and today I watched into its stuff, I watch first take, I watch t v day, try to pull off and I think you pulled it off and incredible- take up maybe this has something to do a staff curries leadership to, and if this was a la bronte in this, never would happen at an agree that take just admired how he been a minute that has a guy. You landed the playing on a ridiculous take, but there There is a little bit of a kid gloves. This thing here would dream, because we don't really know what's going on with him, because the decision has been so erratic
and so self destructive, I think in the mid two thousand twenties. I think we have learned that the social media there's been a lot of a lot of the health awareness stuff. That's happened over the years that we just look at this stuff trying to trying to just be more fair to the person whose involves when really I feel it with, Probably should have been allowed harsher because. jamie not only murdered their season and I think he did You think he might a murder their season, but did not seem remorseful really. After any of this staff. He really see now remorseful after the poor punch last year and just in general he cannot carry himself. As like hey. This is part of the package. This is what you get when you, when you have dream on your team and it finally cross the line- and you know across the line because you gotta definitely suspended
which I can only remember happening a couple times in the history of my life, with the mba, usually when winter in the eighties drug stuff, but don't stick her at a really interesting press conference where he is then today we have to fear our dream on long term as a human being legged the basque by this season. It that not even as important, has tried to figure out how he could fix himself. When you start here and stuff like that and start doing some dakota if a tv shows it makes you think he's gonna go, get sure help, and you know he probably is probably gonna- go, get anger, Bandsmen can't say maybe there's other stuff, I dont speculate, but it seems like gone away for a while and I was part of how you get with the indefinitely with the poorest suspension winners made this point andrea dollars now running the prayers association, the poison, she's gonna, be involved than any suspension like this.
Question now is: can dream on change an idea, I don't know, I don't see it because you you'd changing fundamentally make somebody where they are, which is this crazy passion that he had right where she was added to rasheed. Wallace was an incredible basketball. Player who can stand was one way: he'd forty one technicals in the two thousand two thousand and one season I wrote on my basketball book I thought it was one of the ten greatest records in the mba like the ten most unbreakable records. I thought forty one technicals. I don't think we'll ever see that again, then I still feel that way, but he can out of his own way, and he was one of those players that he he just was a volcano and you just never knew in the lab ozga, MR pouring out of them, and then other players. New had a bogeyman gets home and the for ease they had had with them, and I just I just got worse and worse. It never got better and with that My peace, there's two per
monsieur one, is that that was part of the package of how he played was I'm a bad man, I'm a bad ass, I'm the life I may be so seven, but I play like I'm six. Eleven I and the boy His boy out here you felt that lasted laker citizen I talked about in the park has cause he so tight with the brow, Davis I thought I heard how he played in that serious because he didn't have that same swagger. He wasn't china kick everybody's ass. He had was just a week more subdued and subdued dray mine is not ideal dream on. So I wonder if he comes back from this, it's like a soft gray, mind, that's gonna. Different J, my that might not be better now to be better than the dream mind that continually gets kicked out a games suspended but harder. What made him here, I think about game to the twenty two finals, nothing's going game on game too. things are going pretty well and dream has been taken a lot of shit during the whole point.
That maybe he's on the other side of the mountain and stuff, and he had stretch your head. If you remember he had that mamma would shaven brown, I forget aids, kept over here, Mary. You know it It is a borderline could have been kicked out, but it was it was a man against man moment. He was trying to assert some sort of for dominance in a word, because if you look that moment. It was when the series started a flip a little bit the defense. That brings oh his defensive. Further on that break him any news with this, but he he was the quarterback of everything they did a defence and The way he played with curry is one of the reasons curry has been able to extend his prime and one of the reasons he was so awesome. Last year he was so awesome and twenty two that was a thing, that to me tonight watching the world's first eyes and multiple conversations with Tom about who's. The second best warrior can figure it out.
His clay had a really good game. But I'm not positive is the same. best. Where he's been so radically was probably the best game in the season for him used to be wiggans. Wigand the guy in twenty twenty two that swung the files it cost me a title, not just the celtic statues. The players in the people, our fifteen, me I wanted another title- I don't I take it, you from maker fence, but wiggans was so great bad series and played bigger than he was, and he just as do the reminded of what happened in the guy started last year. Or I know he had some off the court stuff. We still don't know what happened, but he's just a different guy and you watch watching the game tonight. He just looks like the minnesota wagons that you had to attach, with picks and a trade to get rid of that's the guy who he is a goal state that guy he's ben. That's one of the reasons are struggling there. Ten in fourteen they are three games. phoenix who's the ten seed right there
are you look at the big picture where's minnesota, denver, o k, c d was sacramento lakers clippers that your top seven. Then you go use the new Orleans phoenix. Now, I'm a ten only ten never make the plan or the playoffs gone states that eleven ten fourteen, and it's not going well and what I saw in person tonight confirmed what I felt when I was watching them on t v, they're too small and forget the second star thing for a second, they just don't have enough length. You know over and over again it's offensive rebounds its hands around the room. It's somebody A was who's been great for two weeks in is the biggest resent you gonna buy cooper stock. It starts with quite cool. I was just big and strong. He guarded currie in the fourth quarter down stretch on one hand and on the other end he's just just fell longer and more impact
four than anyone the wearers had in the whereas like they, they were playing hard, which is what scared me. If I, if I'm a warriors fan or if I worked for the warriors, they really- The game they got their asses kicked the first half hearted was tremendous. They came out the worst man the second have, and they were fulfilled. there are flying around on defence. They were Get moose bars there again, second chance points a bad as well or is at least as hard as they could play and they still lost, and that's it's been a lie and I've watched them a lot this year, because I love curry, like you, korean yo good, are, are my two knots, the guy's an there has been games, they d lost, Tudor K, see they lost a dumb Bruce game on a saturday. They lose games down the stretch because they're not good enough in itself like our man at this won't play? There's that good enough- and I guess, if you like big picture: the wool. How is that damn different of a team that it wasn't? Twenty twenty two well there's a couple:
things. One is, as we talked about in previous pods, this season, the legal bigger which is bad for them. The two thousand, sixty and small ball model that doesn't work anymore. curries a little bit all their clay. Is allowed a bit all their energy is turned to do I com or once a week. I, when you get all your. U can be good once a week, but if you're relying on them over and over again, it's been a lot tougher and none of their young guys. I, like moody, a moody, was good tonight. I actually think Would dream I'm going away for a while? This is You find our way of with commission moody either on the workers trade bay for somebody else, but they need to get tar and they need more length and they need, and they they need to change this team right, so the two pieces that don't really work are wiggins and Chris Paul lay down the stretch, are playing curry and chris Paul and klay and looney manga, that's of first routed out
best it just is inquiry was bad tonight, part of it had to do with how the clippers guard at 'em and and just made a mark, and they were put Margaret guys on him, but the other piece It was bad. This is the part that did not get mentions. It might admittedly adding consumer the dream content this week, but this to me when they people talk about what they're losing with draymond when he gets ejected suspended their he's getting all there. The whole thing it's his connection, with korea off adds. That is the biggest thing notice when he's not out there, curry had assured him with them that was so great and had gone, Such is crazy, iq level that there has only been a couple. Partnerships like this in the history. The legs like stock, that alone had it m j and pick had a burden mikhail had it shack. Toby intermittently, had it
but when they had it, it was usually in the playoffs in big spots, where that was when they would always kind of begrudgingly figure out her work each other, but they did have moments like that Duncan and don't you know we are together, they had it you know, when you see it and I think currie fed our dream on. all the stuff father world like pass and the hand offs and often get the ball back or he gives the term, and then he cuts this way and dream on always knew what he was going to do in that thing that jumped out tonight with the clippers game, no a totally new. What staff was gonna do on the warriors right? They ninety percent, knew but eat he. It was just like it was a whiff. It was like watching a tennis player that just his service, just like just off he still hidden, if the same thing, but it's like out or it's on the line and his forehead searches. Your watches, like this guy he's just off. Today and the reason it resolve was because no dream on so would I
the stuff about. Ah, there is a lot of stuff about this zip for draymond he's going to leave the warriors and don't be surprised. If he's done, they might trade on what could they get for him? They have to make this work because steph is thirty five, and this is his guy. This is his binky right. This is the guy that makes staff This is what turns and from the ninth best, wherein the whig to leg in the eye made for the best borrowed. The league are one of the best wheres or the best, often somewhere, where everyone is saying. Padre mine away- and you have games like tonight where you look up with four minutes left in the fourth quarter. He's got. Fifteen points is playing hard, so they have to figure out the drama thing and we'll see you know. Kerr mentioned his legacy: n Here's what the legacy looks like we'd, I'm old enough now that I've seen generations in these guys rate, I think about rasheed wallace. It's like he was a hot head. He was. He was
more talented than what his career panned out right right our task in vienna. I wrote season murderers said just made a quick, less cause. I think dray mine. This will go down as a possible sees a murderer jam on the two thousand and four where's rod. Our test is all time season. Murder, with the arts, s malay and in the two thousand four or five season, because indiana would have won the title that year, I feel very comfortable saying that they had the best team. They were kicking detroit's as that. two tribes, the timid go through. It was a sign Antonia had seen that was the weakest about dispersed title themes like partner manu men, who is pretty good in that, especially in the files, but partner was quite there. Yet Don't get had a lot of miles on em from all the gather, all the play of series the previous years pussy than the olympics. Two doesn't for anybody, understood one that year and our task, and then upon stephen jackson out. murdered their season and as the odd
she's a murder, but there's but others like Tiree in the twenty two nets that has the cab bed summits. In the twenty six years and they would have won the title, but it just saying I'm not playing pissing for must insist that was in great dennis, I've been in the ninety five spurs. Ironically deck rivers told a story about them on my pakistan tuesday, but that was a programme season and dead It was pretty unhappy as doc described in the story where they're all yelling at gregg, popovich and rodman, and that everybody's just screaming at each other was an unhappy team and you could feel it when you're watching on the tv, even on the square, square like crappy. Maintain any file but everything bad back, then you can see there at the wrong rational and take issues after the game and do crazy shit and he murmured them, and then he went to the balls the next year and was awesome and one three straight titles. And then you
add another of another kind under enormous gus lives now is holding out for new contract, but he sat out the eighty eighty one season in seattle when they just had this really nice when they made to find us in a row, there were good and eighty season they destroyed for Paul S, father and he sat It kill that all right, because it's gone for good jack, which are radically gap that this has happened a few times jammer aunt last season. borderline sees a murderer, but ah grey matter. What he did to the, whereas this year, the fact that they're are ten and fourteen in a really deep conference, and now they have to scrap just to make the plan now they have to put in just an incredible amount of miles on curry. Any the biggest loser this. It's that dream on It's not the where's, its current decrees on the time as players of all time. Curry still really really really great and now he's on this team, where he's gotta keep his fingers crossed that one of the youngest comes through or clay thompson
he's gonna have a game I get today, or maybe wiggins will miraculously become the guy from eighteen months ago, too many variables too many. What else too many I don't knows, and it starts with the dream. I think the reason they gave J mount a hundred million for four years was because a curry it was his relationship with him as a leader, and as a co. Later it was his relationship with him. Offensively and everything he did the fence away and that's why he's coming back, but are the words that it can. I felt like it tonight. I've seen a lot of great teams at the tail end. Even there, I'll in the in the early nineties when they were a container, but you just now they play jordan, they're, probably listen. You saw that afforded, first time which is felt like it come to an end, but those teams are still like contending for titles. This team, for
miles away like you just taking denver over them in a seven game series also began minnesota as way too much size for them. Oklahoma city has too much athlete it image. Shea is the best guy in, in that are in that serious. This point Dallas has LUCA. You have the lakers who had the size, davison the brine and the pedigree too, and then you have this coopers him that. I wasn't taking seriously at all. I thought the hard and trade was completely idiotic. Am I gonna be wrong? What's wait? Hardens done this before he was super happy, I'm brooklyn for a couple months whose super happy in filling for a couple months, we're still the honeymoon phase, James, ireland, but I'll tell you what I saw tonight, even though it is not that burst around the rim, more the gate management with him were
is outrageous. He was oh good. In the first half he was so unselfish. He was setting everybody up. He was the point that this was the island. Doc was talking about cast about winning talking about, pre, asked our break your heart and how great he was an hour our self she was one of facilitator was it he wasn't looking for his own stuff at all and then need to make the astor team and changed I played in that kind of screw up their season? You saw him scope, again, first half unselfish a man. I think he had like a fourteen. Five and he seems, super happy it c mon. chemistry was gonna and the team even westbrook seem happy plants, animals and then the Second ass, it was called old school, helios, centric harden and that's how the words got back in the game now know Paul George tonight,
I still want to see how all this looks when it's Paul george and kawhi and hearted, but it's going better than I thought it would, and they have found something with the man zu badge, ah george harden and kawhi lineup which the advanced metrics. I I tweeted about this the other day they're, like plus seventeen when they play together and is over two hundred minutes now, so you throw that with power. I'm sure, though, try to get some sort of bigeye plumb. The comes back I wasn't taken. I seriously at that they're gonna be horrendous defensively there better. I thought of that. I'm not admit defeat. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I've been wrong before a mac vague, oh my god. I hope the coopers are good, because that I will be run from wrong. I'm wrong, I think garden. Is revealed that we was over the last five years and I find it hard to believe he's just to end up on this clippers team and just all decided to go back to two thousand and eighteen james harden, but it's going better than thought, but the biggest reason it's going better, because
Why? For whatever reason this, whereas talkin out the cooper fans of my section and no doubt at half time talking to us, larry and jesse coupled diehards, and they were like whatever but look why we don't know, but in the last ten to twelve days she looks like wagon and you can see it There's he's just I've been out. I think this, my fourth cooper game. This was the first one word. holy shit. Why looks incredible so, for that alone. I'm taken coopers way more seriously. and it is a good again tonight, kawhi Paul george and harden had a paul george had played. Would three, the best four guys in the four and that's the real problem with the warriors over everything else is its curry and then a bunch other guys. dream on was the one that held everything together at least defensibly, plus with the work with the correct version in that may not come back.
I don't know one dre months coming back, I, as you know, I know people. Nobody seems to have an answer for this, though, seems to know how long he's gonna be gone. There's it's very cryptic and there's a sadness to a too because I think The general feeling seems to be like this is a guy that is actually a little bit of trouble here. He's got to figure some stuff out, and I thought what kerr said in a press conference tonight about vetoed the he's gotta repair, some stuff fared notches would with him personally. But what where his legacy is. Gonna be is a prayer. You know who understands that more than anybody guess who played with them, robin fer, a bunch of years in chicago, who played with rashid wallace steve her, he seen all kinds of cases in weirdness and guys gone through stuff. He was
the gm that NASH sons team for a while he's been in every possible basque buzz the jewish, I'm pretty sure he's never seen this, but he's aware that this isn't just about this season in german and can can you come back in time to help them make plans? This is like this. Just follows you, the rest of your life. You become. Oh yeah you're this great awesome where one for titles and then he found a lost it down the n in that People remember you, so they got a fix it. My vested interest in this already asked his courage who him in your goods are my favorite non boston, prayers and I dont, like the situation is in at their gonna, probably make a trade would be my guest, and then keep your fingers crossed. Re man comes back the situation sucks and its unfortunate, but hey. This is where we get for fallen sports. I am going take a break and where to come back

You can earn the ringer enough I'll show you can read her and the ringer dot com, mostly about football, some pop culture- and good hair on every single album with my friend Nathan, howard, a podcast that started as a text. When I put the two of you on a taxi, each other, but you both love taylor, swift and were fast, thereby her we started arguing at some point. We were like what is this? Could this be a podcast could be what what the hell are. We doing and now, couple of years later, It still going with the summer of tailor. She infiltrated the nfl, because, it's what people do when they are the most powerful people in the world. They have to go to the most powerful sport in the world. She did that and we're now two months in
The chiefs are railing a little bit. Where are we with taylor and Travis, and the chiefs just give us the update. I mean taylor said taylor, taylor's killing taylor just had her birthday party in new york, she's hanging out with like lively everything, the taylor world is is great. I I personally am a little nervous, I'm holding my breath that she is going to start getting blamed for the chiefs struggles, which are not her fault. They're, not Travis's fault either, but I I just I wonder if the tide is going to turn from the nfl side, but I don't think she really cares about that she's just she's living her life, what first of all everybody's afraid to criticize or even lacrosse, at at her for two seconds, so you got these. Did you see bailey's api? I talk about her because he said that he used to like her when she was country and the way that he backtracked with like it is like the
invalid. It's like gnosis, so I like I like country, music and she used to do country, music, production, pop and and listen to pop music, but like really so much respect for her when it really, everyone is really afraid. I noticed when that time magazine cover story that you Nathan broke down, which got it emerged, is the first ever magazine ps, submerged podcast. I think we ve ever done at the ringer or grant lead really proud, proud about you, but she just The drive by shooting of Kim kardashian at one point much deserved by the way, much designing, I know lies about save it. No lies it had been for seven years and she's wired, like Michael Jordan, mercy remembers every slight every just every time, Her feelings have been her by anyone. It's always she's, always gonna get revenge at some point. The moselle thing was, I dont, think him said a peep right. She was a sort of leg in sheep. towards certain trying to see if there could be forgiveness like she was used
saying she's using taylor, songs in our instagram stories, and she said something in it in an interview, maybe last year about how you ok really made her. Do it with the video and blah blah blah blah blah, so there had a direct overture, but there had bed you could tell she was trying to creep back into the good graces and taylor just slammed the door. I hope she never ever give sir one second of the time of day cause we don't know our versed in came head, came at a little more power and a bigger platform in some ways Taylor was a little bit vulnerable kim. Kim sees she jumped on it. With that weird added it I just that the whole thing was just lousy. I didn't like it when she never taylor,
ever shed, because the problem for her with Kim unkind yea always was that they could be messy in a way that she can't be messy, like you, ve bought it if you buy into the card ashy and you're buying into drama. But taylor takes a reputational head if she's like nastier, rude or anything, so she can't like she can't get dirty and the way the beggar bear back. I've been obviously now they're kind of conversations completely different, but just arriving in that orbit is bad news. Well in her documentary and she's one of the people that kind of ushered in there of the infomercial documentary documentary, but I really the artist is in charge of it were only getting little snippets of real real stuff that as in shame because their control, but the most interesting part of that documentary was was the two thousand the video words kind they come
add stage and just how traumatized that was a I'd, never really thought about it, since that happened, and it made me feel terrible for well the thing that the thing that I learned from that for the first time, I think anybody who followed her learned for the first time is that she thought people were booing her. when they were billingham, which I think was a massively like moment of psychological damage, the most interesting part of them is marketed. Documentary to me was when her father compared her career to bob hopes. Budget that's where he was really. I hope. What does that mean? I areas about her like talking about politics, I use a bob hope. Never Jed S. Remarks just like
What the heck are you talking about? It is the most illuminating just like look at her inner circle, but the time profile was exactly like the documentary. This is a taylor thing. She doesn't talk to the press. She doesn't need traditional media. She doesn't need to do profiles all the time, blah blah blah blah blah. She turns everything down and then every three or four years. She just does one thing and she gives some comments. On every topic people have cared about that relates to her over the last couple of years, so the second, the notebook dumb, but for, as my view, another lady she just as a notes dumb and there's no like detail about exactly what happened and it's all very, it's all very planned and thought out and strategic, but she just will tell you. Actually, what she thought about scooter bron ends the camp stars and
it's going out more in public and just like everything that is a big taylor topic. She will just address it. So I I saw a lot of parallels between the dock and the time Doug I'm gonna give you a tailor. Travis take this, great I never get to talk about this stuff. My parka some share. There's like twenty percent of people like you fucking carry me: can you get it whether bout checks come back, rads brad on Chad? Let me tell her, would call it. I cook I got, may provide the baker. So I read this thing because I thought with my wife and I were both kind of ask that we, like celebrity relationships, general towers, better life for awhile, fascinated by the concept of fame she's, the most famous person. think we ve seen as an artist really probably since Michael Jackson had that's fair, and you got you Nathan talked about that alot and that evil? I totally different now to true true and you have the monitor it. Twenty four seven, caused the way in a way that maybe Michael Jackson didn't the thing that concerns me about
the future relationship, so I saw he is planning a birthday party for her travel costs he is making like eleven million year plan for the chiefs, he's making money from Podcast he's got some endorsements I'm gonna say he's in the load twenties but you're dating. Swift or you dating anyway. That famous it's not like It's ok taylor. I got us to first class tickets on delta to fight against it. like your private every go. You have handlers. Where you go you're in the pen, ass, sweet everywhere, you go, there's a lifestyle thing I think only a few people could date her, but so have the money, which then mean she's paying for most of the stuff than that gets in all. This is weird europe.
And for stuff. I I I I just don't know how that plays out. There's a tick tock that I love that I have saved where I dunno it's just two random people, but one of the guys is, like you know, he's a mid forties like guy, and somebody is explaining, if somebody is saying guess, Travis kelsey's net worth and then guess the net worth of taylor wife's cat, dr olivia benson, or it actually might be meredith. I forget which cat it as one of the cats is that, like ninety three mil and Travis is around thirty or whatever One of the causes that ninety three mill I mean- I don't know Let me have allegedly because she's done commercials and share she's endorse some products, and the guys used is just sort of like processing this information and he starts laughing and just asking them
ask questions as in so people know like taylor. Swift fans can identify the cat in a commercial fast enough, so that fancy feast would blah blah blah blah blah as a really special. It's a special moment I hear where you're coming from you, because I just wonder like when you're that famous, rich. Can you only date other people who are in your kind of network of wealth, or maybe she may be sure, on the flip side. Maybe it's not about that and she said she grabbed. I dunno. A monitoring at all hazards, larger than for reasons. These go besides failure. Easier in some ways, because there is no question about who is orchestrating the logistics of ever or like I was over it on the other
is that she's, if they're going somewhere, she's saying Travis, you know go to the airfields at this time. Plane's going to be there for you get on come to me. I've got the car. I've got it under control. I don't quite understand what happened with the birthday party, because, on her birthday she went to zero bond, which is a club in new york, she's been going to for months and months minds, so I dont think heap. I'm not sure I buy that he was planning anything and, You did maybe he's been here by less than falstaff yeah yeah. Something seemed fishy about that. So I wonder why this has worked out so far is that it gets to be really on her terms. Hi there I've lived through a lot of celebrity relationships. I think this is one of the better ones. I liked the two different worlds that they come from seems like like each other there around the same age- and I did they I get something out of it, which is always a key to the subway relationship right leg when generates than saving brad pitt. He's this,
on the rise movie star about to be I have a list there. She's on friends she's in a less there- and it's like look at us, the two now it almost as like the one plus It was three which is what it feels like here a minute for what it's done for him from occur. Their standpoint has been found a job Robert yeah, but Yes, a seems pretty cold day at are now in the leg. as hear about it I'll be urged? Do you think they get engaged? I have no idea. I use if they have no clear and she is at that stage of life. It seems like they're moving very fast, but I also don't know like she has that celebrity thing where your sort of frozen- and she said that I think she said this in the mirror. Canada reassured of frozen at age. You get same ass, the auditing and in her brains, there's a part of her. That's just still fifteen. I think it makes it very hard to figure out. You know
Is she really ready for that? Does she really want that is all of the stuff, with the tour gearing up to take a step back and maybe start a family and and blah blah blah blah blah? I assume she wants that, but the tour gonna be ongoing for another year plus, yet as our work its way movie actors break up will cause was one of them's doing a movie somewhere for nine months, the other and somewhere else for nine months before and she's in germany and she's in edinburgh and and she's all over the world. So there's definitely some sort of logistical. friends, but some companies are already signed with some phone calls. The other will do a lot of his time. I'm sure she's used to that, but then again not really because the relationship with Joe all when started when she retreated from the world because everybody hated her and she was a sneer and then the pandemic start at resort of inside together for like six years.
She won't, even she won't say, like the united kingdom allowed in the time he is one of the little funny tat bed was. She said I moved to a foreign country. Like she wouldn't say I moved to london, I moved to the uk. It was just like that place that I will not name and that person who I am you got that I thought I'd gone through. I tell so I dont care there haven't thought. So what was the first year? she became legitimately famous to northern nine to those values, the Amelia, her rookie, fame yeah, I think there's three their sort of three levels to it and one of them was fear lest the VM. As that that kind of moments, which was love story you belong with me,
and then the second one was nineteen, eighty nine, which was like twenty fourteen, because that was the squad and now is the bringing the? U S, commissioner, national team out onstage and now is huge. That was her first, State also are also that was really when she had so is events in the end, the biggest possible, what I venture and when she got up my radar so that ever gets me did that phase, but you ve got another advantage is now the third one is, as the last year, plus a certain kind of coming out of her owning the pandemic with folklore and ever more brought her to a new stratosphere. So there's short of its like there's a three tiered thing to it. Yes, if you take Michael Jackson, he's famous in the mid seventys with the jackson five That goes all the way to any becomes a solar artist with the wall, but so Seventy nine eighty eighty one range, then thriller is eighty two, eighty three and then it
keeps going really far another, I would say twelve years, and then he becomes Where are these artists end up going where they began their become the greatest its version themselves, but she's there even close to being the greatest hits version. And then, if you look at her this female artists, its basically heard Barbara streisand, I think fur keep at it again, as an a plus lester for this long cause, Barbara streisand Natalie achieve the music. But it became one of the biggest movie stars in the world for like six seven years, which is a pkoer. I don't see that are late at night, that you know, I don't see it happening. Cats didn't exactly. I know open up. A new chapter I don't see that happen, a bay ashes and pretty is the air wishes in the second part of your second decade of being massively massively famous and then all of the things are like decisions ay, I would have made first superstar, even gaining a famous for bob, where
like a really good career move, not to mention she seems like she likes him, he's an egg. Here's the thing about. I think sometimes that, even though we're talking about this recently, the comp to me is lebron in the sense that a super Barr who's been around for so long and we have such a public history with Jen and at a certain point you start and he get to a place where it's like. Okay. I know this person rubbed some people the wrong way, but if the worst thing that you can, if they've managed, early fame and all of the success in a way where it's like look at other people, look at other people who got famous and successful and rich that young they're not doing well, and the worst thing you can say about taylor's
it's just like I don't like the faces she makes it awards shows she seems a little annoying like that's a pretty high bar at a certain point, and- and that sort of I mean I, I ride very hard for her for a lot of reasons, but I think that's one of them yeah, that's a really good Like how many, how many female artists became famous either in their late team, mid lay teens are in their twenties and it started sideways within, like five six years than ever, one inch when sideways there did we didn't even really know about it. Right I mean like: what's the worst, you know, I'm sure people would have different answers to this, but if the worst thing that she's ever done is that she didn't speak up politically in two thousand, sixteen and game to regret at an and in all its. I mean, I think she regrets that it's probably unfortunate to a lot of fans by it, I don't know that there's there are worse indictments out there. The map What also, though, in new saw with the concert tour the imf,
songs that she has at this point that people have lay genuinely connected to an you're talkin. Three generations now of fans that different size meet there. When things it's really it's it's a little springs danish, because this is what Springsteen was. I get his peak where he had a. Of a catalogue of albums and people, argued about what the different album wood, which was the best one. What was his best and everybody kind of had their three or four favorite springsteen songs that were their songs, and it's very similar to reminds me that I was I know how along in a last like, I wonder when I'm cause veto. If I have kids, I will definitely be, in the car at home or whatever going like, you analyse. It is taylor. Swift, like I love dealers, have dealings with. This was the biggest thing when I was growing up and wellbeing Why will they roll their eyes at that and be lying whatever? Or will it be cool? Will it be?
you like, oh yeah, I want to get into the classics or she's such an. I got. I have to know like what an however many years, where shall be because she's really captured, I mean she's, captured young young young people now and what kind of staying power that leads to either kobe beef fascinating. While she s a ruin, the chiefs now he's getting? I do you really mean dull mad. He isn't it. The man who can make its own decisions- and you know it ruined- achieves the fact that drivers casas thirty four, employs a position where you get this kicked out of you every week and tightened the last eighteen years. The fact that they have a wide receiver group that can't catch and doesn't know where to stab bright rate and drops Why isn't there one of those where they could easily have? Three more wins? You get three more plays three more wins than they would have, but I'm like really flirting with being just completely out of them. I it's there too,
my homes, throwing. too wide receivers. Moms throwing them to running backs and tightens is like asthma homes as ever the home. Soon, a wide receivers is unlike desmond, red or territory. Statistically, I just I don't buy it like. You can't win us here like that. You know one of the bedside cigarette million dollar packs. You can bet the jets first have jets game against miami. That's like plus five hundred I've found or submit scare saying terry can be limping around. Dolphins are super banged up the jets. The events has been really good. Maybe they have a three nothing less. First avenue in, but then, if you put that with the pats first have pats gaming, its achieves its I was thirty four to one it's an insane bet, but actually think the pats are going to hang with the chiefs because they're defenses, but good for, like five weeks no pacheco for the chiefs, I don't even remember, run the bar and then receivers don't get open, so it's she's gonna feel think it can be this ugly foxfire. Oh you better. Those games figure
greece outside the weather, sags. It's called and just it and it's like seventy three in the fourth quarter yeah that I like the halftime, where you worry about with the passages like a three turnover gave when all of a sudden the chiefs of extra possessions, something where they, I think they'll steal it yeah you bought all about jackstaff yeah abigail either. I just, I think, it's time to think that
actually I was talking to one of the guys from NBC sports Boston the other day and and the thing that I was that I have gone back to the season is after they lost that saints game, and there are a couple of moments when a couple. Fourth downs, where belichick was really conservative, where it seemed like they should have gone and they didn't, and he got asked after that game. Why weren't you more aggressive and his answer was we're not good enough, we're not fundamentally good enough on third and fourth down to have earned my trust to go for gopher those those workouts yeah. That was in hindsight. That was the moment to me because they are not a good team, they don't have a good roster and when you don't have a good roster, you have to roll the dice. Sometimes you have to do kind of the the Brian Flores thing in minnesota. Right now at that defense, where it's just like, let's make it cale
let's man weird stuff happen, and then maybe we get a few lucky bounces and we need that because we're not that good. I think belichick is still a really good coach with a lot to offer, but I don't think he's a good coach for a bad team and I think, if they're going to get better, they have to just sort of admit that they're a bad team, and I don't think he can do that. So how it happens. I don't know how they work out the money in and who cares about saving face, but I I I don't think that they can keep going. the biggest they have to work out, is that if it is time the exit where I feel good about it where there's the statue outside the stadium and there's bilbil jack day in two years like this can't be acrimonious. This was, but does he care about that? Does bill care about that. I ve hit robert craft, cares about that.
The bill? I think bill cares about legacy history way more than people realize. I've said this over and over again he's like a real resounding of everything. I think he cares about that time, but I think he also knows that I mean it's it's proven sure with Brady right, like two years from now, bilbil jack day is gonna, go off without a hitch build algeria is gonna, be fine, but in january and february when there is a difference between ok, we come up with a mutual parting of ways where everybody's happy, and maybe you work through it. raid offer aware he might be willing to take a little bit less money and everybody ends up looking good and he goes to a contender that type of of sort of of communication and everyone being on the same page.
I'm a little less confident that that's how it's going to go, because if the crafts pool below check into a meeting right now and say, look bell like it's time. We have to talk about how we're going to do this yeah. Isn't he going to give the blank press conference stare and say do what Like what are you talking about I'm just here too, you know who are here to get ready for me. Like I'm current said earlier that they decided said a party, he hasn't written it yet, but he mentioned on a pod that he thought after the germany game, they all decided. This is going to be a rap at the end of the air and they have. Kept under wraps. I don't know it's true or not sure. I will say this, though I thought Chad fin wrote a good piece in the boss good this week about labelling check the coach. like just like this is to a good coach. Who are you going to go out and get that's a better coach? I the question for me a if he wants to shop for the groceries, the famous a parsons phrase and coach, the
he's proven that he can't do that anymore. He's on foresight to all he has seven years of drafts and free agency that suggest that he's not capable of doing that? Encouraging the team while so, is and admit that a and then be, if he's just gonna, be a coach? Why couldn't stability patron Let's go get him a front office person have and work with the person. My question with this whole bow ejecting. If you leave he's not gonna retire. Who is given say to him here, the car keys do everything for us, but that's that would be insane. How do you not just go on pro football reference and look at the last seven drafts? Who is going to be insane to do that? Nobody, it would be insane, which is why I offer you jerry jones.
Jerry Jones, the super bowl I like I know this is totally like the hair bread, but this is my theory and I have heard from people that they don't think it's the craziest thing cowboys get bounced early in the playoffs. I think that team looks great. I I I wouldn't bet on it, based on just like the eye test on the field, but it's also the cowboys. It's mike Mccarthy, if you never know early, embarrassing, playoff exit yet again, jerry jones is distraught, he's routing his feelings and johnnie walker, blue, and he just as he's he's the guy he's the guy with the job to offer that belichick could count on being able to continue to collect wins, get closer to shula, have a path to to beating the schooler record reasonably quickly. Jerry's got the money for it. It's pretty.
D just enough that it doesn't feel like a personal AL, and I think our jobs would do it. I think you there is like one guy in the entirely equipping the sort of crazy enough to do it and I think jerry would do at close range. It ass, a coach Angie, I'm, except for the fact that who runs out personal Department- stephen job someone with the last name of the owner is the other person there, which I think is a that's a unique element in terms of the power structure right because bill can't. I mean he certainly couldn't say, I'm not doing what you want me to do in the same way. That I mean, What like Matt grow is who is currently bouncing ideas, often having to come to decisions with the new england. It would be really different. Adjust it just doesn't seem quite as crazy as it sounds good theory. I was thinking chargers would be the latter team. Now it be panicky enough to be like
I hears everything casino, their jericho to pay for it. I just don't I mean maybe in a trade if they could do a trade where the crafts are still on the hook, at least for next year. Maybe then it happens. I do you know in there. You know crabs getting something out of this. There's no way his. I get built thanks for everything. In last I mean, but we got. The problem is that the belgian contract is such a black box, and yet what it says about what they can do at if he is owed a job where he has personnel say like. I just have no idea, and I think the p who, who do have any idea, there's three of them and to them have the last named craft in the other. One has lost, involve jack,
You covered the paths, so you know like they're kind of secretly cheap with this stuff, and I wonder, like of his contract as as lucrative as people seem to think. I think I think there's one. I think it is. I think there is one contract that is a massive exception and then the rest interesting. They hire people who are still being paid from another team, and I didn't get around that, but I I I big bill is owed a lot of money for next year and if you are the chargers and you've paid your last three coaches, like four million bucks a year, that's a real thing to work out. So if, if it was via trade, I could see that happening, but I think there's a a larger it all. To making that happen, then it seems like there would be. We have a guy at the ringer, I'm not sure if you've heard of him ben so lack I have,
then again he did a with that she'll last week and he threw a take out. The Bilbao check will be a player coach. Next year somewhere, no matter where he is, he will be in the class at that. She'll was gonna like have a connection he was listening to areas really got a really. I was good cooperation is part of that was that it had encapsulated if he stayed in new england, where well yeah. That was part of the take cause he was like. Hey already have the defense Gonzales is coming back jordans coming back they're going to have like get a clearer pic. I was like I'm there
Isn't that a bit of the jew I didn't do because I don't think there is basically zero chance. He stays in new england, and that would be the hard one for me to wrap my head around dallas and Bilbo chuck would make the chargers a playoff team. I feel good about that. I feel really good about that. I don't care about the curse and blah blah blah blah blah that what the curse needs is is a little bit of bill belichick, so if they could make it happen with the contract and blah blah blah blah I would add the excited about that. Do I just get concern when people their seven is having jobs that usually choir. Seventy hours of work a week I just now but my father, my dad he got pulled up by netflix because network. This checking all the accounts he was yet. I know our world there. It's It's easily been the most traumatic thing, that's happening m and twenty twenty three. He has no idea how to get netflix now. I've explained them just sign up, and then you just follow the instructions
four and it's like I'm asking him to land an airplane, because the pilot passed out and just think of that were their keys around ballot checks. Eighty, but maybe like three four years older and I just think of ballot checks, trying to put together a drought. That may not be able to do netflix? Where is just a tiny bit the benefits of it. I would take a break in. I were about the weeks at the slate This episode has brought you by air being be man, I wish I knew about air bnb center. I like as does the bears equipment, the bears, three point underdogs. I think they better differently in the last five six we
it's just in general they're. Fourth, in rushing and their defense has been a little frisky that second, hence the rush further further for the air, but their big thing for their last five. They be carolina by three. They should have been detroit beat minnesota by two, and then they beat add the trade by fifteen last week that those are last for. I feel like the arrows pointing up at them. Then you go to cleveland. You can only start to offensive tackles they lost three their down to tackle, for foreign fire, but there are fed sublime. Their centres hurt might play made that they have too defensive. Because that are now for the season and then a third one as a concussion. pigs. This is like one of the all time, most banged up teams and I don't think they're going to be able to hold on against a chicago team. That's playing pretty well. What do you think? I love it and I'm so on the bears here. They've raided the sweat trade worked out in a way that I did not imagine it would have most. Because a value but that's gonna, talk tandy events, you mean the motive really killed, sweat trade, including by and by myself as well, but its table it really good. The other thing is you just made such a good case for all of the component parts mattering. Here's mine is jobs. I gotta keep doing this right. They're gonna keep having drove lack of a forty five passes the game and not get burned becoming said. I know offensive line with totally. This is yeah. No, I love I'm glad you pendulous. When I loved the better. ok good cause. I had thought that line still seems often. I wonder when we get to gain time whether this goes to lag bears plus one
about that, but for now I'm grab at it. So that's that's one. Next one, mention the cowboys earlier in this cowboys build there. buffalo buffalo needs a game, the land and dropped to buffaloes. Now, minus one and a half above was offences, but again, if you look at the numbers, it seems like buffalo is going to be able to move the ball against dallas no question dallas, some of the roads steps little iffy with them they're. Definitely a great team at home, little iffy in the road. the value of their last arizona. They met. Some shaky wants It's gonna be in buffalo, probably called, but I just think that with this sounds like a collins were like just, but I just think they're bigger than buffalo's defense, I got felt they can overpower them and I'm thinking about them in a tease because of it's plus one and a half. I could take the plus seven and a half make it a two score game. I think it's a close game on that positive who wins, but I think they're, big
that they hang around, maybe they steal it. I like the cheese idea because I would not want. I would not want to pick this and a close one in a straight, oh yeah, yeah. The bells do not actually need to win this game tat a really good shot at making the playoffs. If they win the the last three which has charged patriots dolphins, they probably will get in there not guarantee aid, but they probably will still make the play. So it's not, they dont absolutely have to do it. I agree that I just I don't like I dont like trusting buffalo to do really anything, but I also think that they have a lot of offensive power and if they don't turn the ball over, it is always the story they could absolutely hand with dollars. I could see Dallas actually beating them by double figures, and I could see buffalo
in the game, but I dont see buffalo beating now at a dallas. I know cause they're hanging on by a thread defensively. Actually, I mean look shareholder regret not having a good year, let if there is anything to favorite that guy right now, it's that I I would have expected this defense to collapse in a way that it just hasn't. But I don't I mean against dak the way he's playing right now, if any one wins in a blow out. It's definitely the cowboys but weird stuff happens in bills. Games like just outright Why? I don't want a visa that so I was gonna teach them with the rams, who are minus six now against washed and washed in defence. There are thirty second in yards per play, their thirty second against pass twenty third against red zone and take this rams team healthy agendas, like their efforts. I did, they can move the bargains almost anybody. I wouldn't want to see them in the playoffs. As long as I know, their healthy mcvay, I think, is the general in the coach of the year- and this is,
just a game they should win. River riverboro run is now robot. Iran, as we were discussed at our paths. Rowboat is just right, Towards the end of the season before it gets fired, they the team, has no incentive, they and worse every month and see how the rims on beat them. So that was a cheese I like rams, cowboys yeah, that's so this is. This. Is the game that I love? I don't I don't think there's a world in which the ram stones for more than thirty points in this game and if you're telling me that matthies divert hasta caught a light, a mob like I've, I've very confident that he can do that this, this rand's off ads when they have had their play makers. Healthy is easily top ten and his legs sniffing being a top five office was really hurt them as other thirty seconds james seems devialet and obviously that's what lost the against events, but I may have been holding, is right
and then their yellow box, the babes they mass stuff up like that? You have also shown me back I think, has been putting on a clinic this season in terms of just sort of reaffirming by he is committed to football. He still got it and I think he cares about beating washington ice. I still think that everyone, this guy's when they ve worked somewhere. It does a kind of matter to them citing Bobby motivated, and I just don't think that the little margin call stuff of them being young and making mistakes, and special teams and penalties bubble bottled law against the ravens that totally matter against the commanders. I don't mean that matters push. You look at the gap for games. They win this their seventy seven. They got there saints at home next week. God only knows who's buying quarterback. For that crap saints team, that's gone were another thing. That's gotten worse, everyone month, your legs fighting each other on this. I like this answer. Yeah, that's that's the trouble then there at the
giants. On new year's eve can at ten o clock game which is like gathering of dayton. Seven, nobody wants to play them that I could totally through them with their game, and then they play the niners last week of the seas. But to me I'm with you, I I don't know if it's a top five offence, but its deftly sniffing when all those guys are there if you just at their starting running back in there to best receivers. That's in the vicinity of anything anybody else as red as a top three. I really liked them and stafford is the perfect quarterback for a team like this, because he's not afraid to be in a shoot out, he's not afraid to need to to If you need a score thirty five to when he is perfectly happy to do that, it's the health staff, as has been the question there, but I still think that, when he's on the field when he's healthy huh, playing really really really well. So I love that back. Why have two more than a leg. What do you have a?
decorated. We already do it deserves something you really like on the slate. So I liked I'd I'd like the rams I'd like commanders rams. But let's talk about so here's. Here's one that I want see how you I feel about because I'm tempted but feel a little stupid. Could the lions stop the skid? Could the lions look a little bit better defensively playing a quarterback in Russell wilson who, at this point just doesn't have the mobility? And I think that's when that defense has been extra soft, as is when they face a mobile quarterback, especially I mean you saw it in the bears game. They just fold, but I don't think they have to deal with that. I'm in denver and they're home they're in the domed golf is going to be a little bit more comfortable. I think- and I just wonder if I wonder if everyone is off the scent with the lions and it's making me a little bit tempted,
which makes me feel really dumb, because I don't want to trust that dear I don't trust that team at all by it just seems like minors, for I think it is feels a little a little love. You think leg. Five six weeks ago, this is a minus, nine right I understand, and a half men I was with you. I was I would like this is the weak leg everybody's off the lions? This is the weak they bounce back and then I looked at their last seven. So starting with the rain, kill them. Thirty, eight six. Vegas they beat twenty six fourteen, that's read, as the mcdaniel thing is, is imploding right chargers. They barely Forty one thirty eight! They give up thirty eight points to the chargers that seems so bad thou. In retrospect, they barely
cargo and share last thirty one point: six: they lose the green bay thanks given by seven barely beaten, awhile and saying that hate each other thirty, three, twenty eight Then they got waxed by the bears last week since the last seven, where in this I more than a month and a half now of have you: can you play a game and you get there. The big picture stats like their defence or twenty ninth in red zone. their twenty, sixth and sacks, the twenty third in. Rating turnovers like their defences, doesn't do anything he asked
that would be like. Is that actually a good fit against Russell wilson? So here's I. I do think that they especially struggle when the quarterback has some mobility and russ in some ways I think plays into that, because when he screws up it's because he thinks he's got some left and he doesn't he's pretty, but that denver offense is actually at it's best when he stays in the pocket. One always have, and always a coin flip. If he's going to be willing to do that, but Chu, I think they're probably a little bit more capable of defending an offense like that. But I look bigger picture with the lions. I am not there. I don't think this team is good. I don't think that defense is going to be able to do anything against real playoff teams, but I think the broncos,
hype is high and the lions hype as low and added just. I wonder if the line is a little reflect him that I was looking at us trying to figure out a good saturday special parlay cause. I like the courts against the stores. I love to bet on it's own, but to throw in a parlay just because the colts offense can actually score regardless of their defense, is terrible. but they always gonna be. Twenty points are higher and the steelers just I I of if it's I've seen mason roughly quarterback, whoever it is, it's gonna be bad, and we know they have about off its coordinator, so how they score more than twenty points against anybody in the courts can just score more points. That would be a pick from my heart for me because I like watching the colts play they're, not here, but I like watching them play and I hate watching the steelers adage aroused eddie
I think he got to do one of these with your eyes and hold them open and then the other saturday game, as bengals vikings, where it seems like all the smarter, sharp people are on the vikings and bengals you're you're fine, you're buying high and them cause they look good. The last two weeks, browning was like fifty four sixty his last two weeks, but the minnesota defence, which read that mean there. Fifty on yards per play, their third against first down, they re seems like they found something with the boots in pain. But it's like what you said before: it's almost gimmicky ie and pardon me like. Oh, I see the minnesota case there. and he threw up points either It's like maybe jake, burnings good, and we do this every year with, like we don't trust the added nowhere quarterback, but it's maybe he's just good. Maybe ok. Ok is three times a year. Words like, oh, maybe Josh, is really way through as a rod, yeah, that's fair,
Wait beyond that game! I I I don't. I would rather trust that the vikings can make life hell for jake browning than trust the jake browning is is actually a good quarterback. He has been good against the blitz. I think he's this from memory, so I may be wrong on this, but I think it's like twelve for nineteen- I I just don't really buy that that keeps up, and I do think that if there is a defense that just for a quarterback who doesn't have a lot of experience, can just freak out. That's a pretty good one. So I'd I'd I don't think the bengals, I think credit to them, but they've been able to do this. The last couple of weeks- but I I think, are probably ends this weekend. I'm not a nick Mullen sky just in case anyone asked suit over the next four days. Okay, it was just wondering, is bella nick bones guy. The answer is that yeah, I'm the only
said the boughs traffic a narratives coming out of this weekend- and you know it's vikings have no running game at all. They have jefferson gonna play this week, but dad this horrible chest injury that immediately after the hospital. So if he's playing That is not a hundred percent, and then I don't know who's buying quarterback like if it stick balance. Is it him for all four quarters, Is that good? Do they go back? Love for the bureau? he's quite where you want the platoon. Ruby s have neck minds. Do that do most we care about use dogs athletic there's a city in the denver, They parlay, as plus seventy six says, argument that when a couple more so The matter is applying the cardinals, their huge favorites, but if you take niners first half, which has been money as a bed all year because shit in like David fink
your script out his story, boards scripts add at his first twenty plays so niners too first app niners to win the game against a team that I think has where's defence in the legacy them wash them? That's minus two. Eighty request: as what minus three team deeper with that to get a nice little parlay of plus an error to dance the ravens just to beat the jaguars just money line, ribs average eggs or atlanta to be carolina I'll atlanta at so. The only thing is, you haven't got a great. I grew up. This is better than a straight up, because they're so weird, don't tell them through another team and just take atlanta monastery against carolinas. the team and and depressed brace, young and and this coaching stew, that I Jim cowbells thou involved in helping them. proxy. I don't know what's going on that day
if you like atlanta, more than the ravens yeah just cause, I mean the the the jags are. Are a good team with a good quarterback was still come back from injury, but that could trevor Lawrence could throw four touchdowns in the first half and all of a sudden The game is as just a totally different situation. Carolina is a terrible team at Lana is so this combined related and finds every possible way to lose, but they still move the ball. Ah, they out gained I'm trying to think of what it was. I think they out gained. They had something like a hundred and forty four more yards in their game last night and I think bryce young through four hundred and thirty in total about Jesus there, just a wildly better team and the papers. I know it's the falcons, but that's the only reason anyone would even pause. I think it's just all the weirdness around that team.
Way better than your letter when they are like, but the money line, and that is you- don't have to worry about atlanta. Plainly stupid games were somebody misses a two point: four, it there's a few extra point out blocked and I and it's like fifteen to fourteen in your like, what's happening in this gay, why is that the word falcons covering side just like the money lined with them? I think that's probably for the best. I do think that if there's any any weak tat feel confident that you don't need to worry about that its when they're playing the panthers. But ah, it's probably a sound strategy. The only thing that worries me, the panthers, is that they literally have nothing to play for because they then have their pick out those teams, always May words it's you know you can count on the cap. Ng staff for the owner to be like hey? Can you set that wide receiver or last one? I really liked this one elect the slate again this week villain confident I liked the seahawks against the eagles team,
be closer to win because I think they are going to be able to move the ball offensively in them and us I I'm just. I dont think you defences get that guy. I think we have a big enough sample size that their twenty eightth on first down, the thirty six and third down the thirty than the reds on the twentieth against the surpass. We have a thirteen make sample size. that their defences and good and jazz got gone for the seahawks last couple weeks. They have three receivers: who can get up and walkers coming back shot rene eager gone, walk or resolve, and they have this two headed monster running back. I just think they're gonna score points, and I was looking at You can adjust it to seattle, plus four and a half with the over of forty two and a half, and that's plus one forty, but I thought that looked tasty, because I think this is a close gameless points. Is that scare only ones over I've really been with you about this at the seattle offensive line is so banged up, and if I look at this eagles,
dm and I think about what they must be talking about in that building this week they have to get their pass rush going. They are not going to be able to fix their secondary they're, not going to be able to fix their linebackers and safeties for the playoffs. But if that defense has any hope in the next couple of months, what has to happen is they have to start pressuring opposing quarterbacks, and I think this is an opportunity for them to do it, and they still, you know Essentially, it is the same group from lasher yeah yeah swap out hargraves for the draft paths, fair and nation. They should be able to do it, and I think this is this: is the weak for them to try to start really focusing on that and seattle being able to protect worries me. what, if I took the seahawks to plus seven and ok yeah, that's That's right out of my over forty, two and half is basically even us.
One score game. They can move, but I was impressed I see at all against our said that Dallas was gonna, be able to demolish them was their line and they I dunno. They move the ball and I think, with those three receivers, I think they're kind of hard to play now on the way that they've handled gino's health has indicated that they they have been targeting this game and going we just. We gotta be ready for the eagles game. We gotta be he's, gotta, be as healthy as he can be for that game and that's what we've gotta prioritize. So I I'm I'm good with that. I like that, ok jets dolphins jets are like getting eight the half, I think the dolphins, Decimated with injuries now they bear their officially pass. The danger point like calling at her aristide's always heard it can be limping around it's bad weather,
it's just all of you watching that titans game and having them in the moneyline parlay, and just like, oh my god I had to hedge at halftime it. It completely beats me why the jets defense is still, playing really really hard, but they are still playing really really hard. They found a way to care about this, deem it that's yeah. That line is to beg cause that events is really really good and, and my Emmi is so banged up and the tyrant thing. I mean it's, it's When he spaces them out, the offense works, and it's so simplistic, but I feel like when he's not himself or if he's on the field, it's just I mean we saw it in that Monday night game like it. It just does not work. It's down bad orphans. When he's not playing online to a letter to its earns in scotland, so as soon as I recall, the fear that gives you can't move, you just becomes left you money Secondly, the ball two seconds he seems like a different guy and that I thought that
the weirdest injure I've ever seen a football game heard his ankle just standing on the sidelines: they're not working on it. There's no electrodes zeilinger anything! Then he goes back in there. Is out again and it's like what are you hurt? What's? What is this seeds is he's just a very strange guy, yeah strange well and it's there's always there's always like a lingering thing, and then there there he does go and yet that is not a fair gun, but like the weird sidelined treatment in that it helps and that its. But it's a just feels like that, can be a thing for them for the rest of the season and the the jets defences good, I mean I don't you know I don't buy any of the act wilson hype by that wine is, is too big, they look good us. We come in their passive. This is about as good as anybody in the way that they can only cancer alan them anymore. So I think my amy until now there, the jets are interesting. Something in that game that first half jets gave bed is five hundred they there's you can do tat
plus eight and a half with some sort of under there's some place figured out when I do believe our backs nora are. We is ruiz does he admit defeat on property? Never nasa. However, at this stage is that he's intrench we right after I mean we have to we gotta toxins adds a german on some level, because he did he made a promise to stop covering the sport. I think if purty one envy p- and I personally that would be bad for me. because he's my bad for us yeah. We got it, we're we're we're walking that back a little but he's he. He makes a good argument, that's all I'll say for the guy. We have to do like an intervention by based through nineties, teen soap operas where wheat I asked to talk to, when zoom, but when he shows up in the Zoom there's nine people Steven stephen We need you to give up this property thing. What am I doing wrong and I read dedicate myself to the process and also get super lucky with a cup against ah week. Fifty yet another week. I really liked to say we talked about bears and browns with nor prince yachting bears, plus three in cleveland the browser just incredibly banged up bears are are on a little I'm going to call it a hot streak, but it's it's a warm streak and they're starting to look like the sneaky Second half team, at least in the area of sea. I love, bears plus three, I think big
when this game outright and probably well but I'll grab. The points bears plus three three hundred thousand hours. Next homeward in a tease mentioned this would Nora rams he's. No down against robot ran to minors, point five and were put them with the cowboys airlines on the bills in their bills, cowboys game, sybil time They come. I had someone text submitted a about how they like Josh out for mvp at fourteen one. If they win this game here comes josh on arms. On the cowboys, I think they're often stare often a blind how big and powerful they are the protection the dac has We haven't seen her a hundred percent transit on the road yet, but I think it will in this game I wanted to use them. For seven? Have I don't have to win this game, but I think it's a close game. And I don't see either defence really hundred said, stopping the other offence, which is fine, let's go back and forth, but cowboys possibly have
rams minus zero point, five per three education: that is a cheese next one, seattle is playing philadelphia, they're getting three and a half points at home. you see the doubts, games europe and move the ball. She s got three receivers and too good running back soon, GINO up and down, but from what I've seen from Philly's defense, the stats are. Absolutely alarming. With fisheries difference, I mean you go through it and it's like the twenty, eight and thirty, is everything? Is twenty six, twenty, eight twenty, nine thirty at whatever category one first downs, anything and I think seattle is gonna, be able to throw the barn them. So I what You seattle, plus southern half, that suggested with the over adjusted to forty two and a half. So I think We're close gay, maybe sierra wins, but I think they hang around and I think there are some points
that is minus one or two open free education that actually think seattle could be philadelphia, I'm not by unfilled of his defence at all. an easy stretch, they'll be fine by me. we get the january I'll be back in a fellow, but I think this is the last week where we're goin we what's going on with fairly also it's a fantasy, weak there's a lot of fantasy guys. This came out an just feeling over last one: it's a parlay, it's a fun when we talked atlanta versus carolina any chance. Gets caroline the lines? Only three were it to be: a lot of money lie because at land is incapable of buying a normal game. So you lead mine is through their land and they went by two or the one by one and a half or they were by zero point. Three three points: I've seen them do it. we can take them that land of money line parlay with san francisco playin the terrible cardinals defence and
in Cisco winning the first half of games as bad as reliable of a bad as you can get. You compile a san francisco, winning the first half of san francisco winning the game as minus two. Eighty, That would be a lot of money line that is plus one eleven. That sounds magnificent friends we're gonna grab that were put to educate. that the last but not least, gotta bet on the saturday games? I like cincinnati, its minnesota runs up minnesota. They can't run the bar and their plane neck bonds accord. and just jefferson is questionable because he had hit so hard the chest they had taken the hospital, I'm staying away from them I like the way, since that is by an up I'm a jake browning guy, I believe in the guy he always does, is through accurate passes, Jews teammates, which has won my feet What is your backs taken there taken. Eighty nap was over pittsburgh because pittsburgh either paint your bisque ear. Mason mirror for both about take the indianapolis, they cannot score them in india and then last but not least, and parlay here, and were money line in the trade
by that a trade ear they they're gonna, reset it treats ben bad or mediocre or forgettable. Here, first, seven stray weeks and defensively. I just don't think they have it so, the three those together, that's plus seven, forty nine for the three and we're gonna put. Fifty can that and then last but not least, we it, the same game, partly that I'm gonna put on my twitter feed on saturday or sunday. That's either gonna be with the ravens jaguars game cause. I liked the points in that race. and games so looking at something like Lamar, odom, becum, sixty plus yards odo, becum scores, a touch down and then something with the over and you can get it to like ten and one eleven or I might do that, might do something with the jets game. I didn't, I was afraid to put the jets in this because Zach Wilson as their quarterback, but I liked it past the it against a banged up miami team. I think They can hang around in this game. The line is plus nine and a half
you could have the jets plus three and a half get that a plus two ten fan? So I'm looking at one of those two for a name in parlay either way. Those are the milliner picks for weak. Fifty. I therefore encourage jefferson here. He has a new movie caught american fiction. That is doing very well and I think, has been screened at how many different place. Do you have to go to these screening swear they'd like every polio man, oh yeah or dairy, but I'm going around the world on leaving the london the more I was in london a few weeks ago, I'm leaving london tomorrow than paris said, sir. Yes, but I run we premier and on september eight than it's been. Cannot stop after that. What's your screening strategy? Do you leave, because some people just leave him back. You know I I I leave eyes. I haven't the movie all the way through we had a casting, grew screening in Boston. Like a month ago, I sat through thou on, but but that's the last time I have seen it I
mostly just leave these days. I can't I get watching it is painful, and that leg I love the movie. I am very proud of it, but you know I just see album states that I made in everything- and I just can't I myself- to to sort sit through that anymore. Are you constantly surprised that people laughing parts, you never expected them to laugh at. That's always the weirdest thing for screening the documentary differ the movies, but I'm always amazed what gets reactions verse is what we thought would get a reaction yeah, but a jade. It also changes everywhere. You go. That's the that's the fun part. I mean. I really do think that I think the we've. We need to treat the cinema screens ago like a live music like I think that that's the joy of going to the movie, isn't that you have a big screen. It's like whatever big screens, fine. You can get a big screen at your house these days, but I think just be. And amongst hundreds of people who are having sometimes similar, sometimes different reactions from you is a part of the final version will be like this, that you know This is a movie that is in other people,
are going to feel differently about different aspects of it and so being in a room with a bunch of people whom I feel differently from use is nice. I think, what's your promotional strategy? I know you pretty well, we ve known each other allow ever with mutual friends, and it's been incredible to watch the ascent that you ve had but You're not really, let me go on twenty five podcast and seventeen tv shows type of tat now, so I'm sure they're asking your powder leg. I know you hate this now yeah, maybe you know you don't become a writer to be on stage in front of a bunch of people, you know I I at least I became a writer because I, like being alone in my room with my thoughts, you know and my computer. Ah so this all new to me, but I'm so proud of the film I am happy to do this, but yet this is this is a little unnatural. For me, it's edited! I don't! I don't feel like I'm good at it. Yet I think that-
I think that I'm learning how to be a salesman, because that's part of the job and other and it's a part of the job, and I haven't prepared myself, for you know they d. If you are going to me movies, then you need to be a part of the job is to be out there, supporting it in getting people to go, see it and so I am now realising that this is just going to be part of my job for the rest of my life and I need there. You know I need to find ways to do it. I can't just hide men say like I'm, not gonna do this. However, I think that I need the. I just need I bid to become better, be staged. I've been trying to do that slowly, in the media training I'm here better than that guy yeah man, oh yeah, yeah yeah, I did I did. I did a whole day of media training before before he started before he started. The press. Tour will you're like. Is it fair say you're, naturally suspicious person for the most part. What do you mean suspicious, while just like people acting people like maybe
back in the past or people baby who would abed. As I see you four years ago, but now you have this big movie, Oh you mean cord were in your leg near you into this debate, diamond yeah. I am definitely I definitely light and recognise that those people who like are all of us sudden following me on instagram technologies, like I do five million recognising bad that there's all of a sudden those people who, like definitely, I think, had a different opinion of me: four or five years ago than they do now, yeah yeah, that's there. You know a bizarre I'm not. I don't think that met that makes me suspicious, are sceptical, but I think that you know the greatest: the greater sort of like grounding moment all is sold at toronto right where we permit the film yeah. signed. I signed a my first autograph, those very stranger, we're walking out of a breast
if somebody was like. Would you please sign this and they had a picture of me. I have no idea where they got this picture me, so I signed it. The then we went to another thing and there was more people asking for autographs and people were asking for selfies and stuff like that, and I was like wow. This is look at this, like people know who I am and and right before I got in the car. This one woman ran up to me and she goes Corey corey Can I get a photo for you at your word and I was like you don't even know my name but advised his leg is. Is this person actually has no idea who I am and she just she's Things like it's been drawn into this like frenzy around me, because sheet assumes that I'm somebody they like this is going to be a picture that she want to have on your phone, but she actually has no include who I am it doesnt matter. So I think that that that to me was like, as sooner I heard that I was like oh, this is this: is like. I don't need to pay attention to this, stop it. I just need to focus on most important, which is like the movie is important getting the work out. There is important, but I knew you
try it for a while, so that better easier to appreciate the stuff? It's been funny just anecdotally hearing about the movie words, making a movie, that's cool, and then it's a sterling k eyebrows to be in a jiffy right as a good. Oh, isn't it now wage is an aching insight, current suppose. This move is really good. That sounds good upper works out for this, This can be really get it right. Now. I guess it's rada, that's cool, and then it's like the movie cry in toronto. This is gonna, be a they gonna glad, but it was just kind of these emails and tax. Why are the arc of air and then I'll send? It was a thing. That's that's how it's been for me. to truly like I. I could not have it they did any of the sooner we we are We are in many ways. Little movie they could you know this is an area we have a small budget. We had a limited amount of time like this is don't think anybody sort of the head
they dreams beyond just getting the movie made and I certainly didn't. I was considered a year that I remember but when we submitted it to toronto, I had people saying like listen, temporary expectations, is. This is like a competitive europe like this year. Everything we'll huge director in the world decided to release a movie and twenty three rights outside school daisy adventure and nolan and gretta girl, egg and alexander pain. It's like every body in the world had a movie out this year. Then you dream team of directors screw Alfred, arrive in a truly and so people. You know my not even get into duranno sit on, don't get your hopes up, and so, when I found out the movie just got into the festival, I was lit jumping up and down in my kitchen like I didn't even allow myself to dream beyond that just because only while this is you know, this is a movie that we made for incredibly low budget compared to all these other movies, and it's a movie that you know and
of all the actors in it. But it's not like you know. It's not like it's leonardo, dicaprio reply, or would I know these massive movie stars and it is. These- are really really great actors and its eye actors that people like yeah yeah. I was watching the credits because I intentionally I watched it last night and I intentionally didn't want to read anything about it. I watched it and the names are pop if my o o and then they got to keep David? I just lost my keziah mass people die. That's my guy she's like David, is. I was. I really wanted him when we first started making the movie there's a bunch of flashback scenes and I wanna keep David to play the father and the flash back scenes and then the more worked on the strip was like. We don't need the flashback, since I cut them all, and I was been because we weren't going to go to Keith David, but then we had this you know. I don't want to spoil it, but we had this. smaller role show up, and I was egg. I would love to hear
Keith David in here somehow do you think you would consider listen. We send a germ, and he called me the next day. the face timed me and we just chatted for like fifteen minutes and then he agreed to do it, and I was like uh so so so delighted because I've been such a huge fan of his. For I mean I've, been everybody in the movie forever. Basically I got to a guy like you love the casting, oh yeah. Pretty diagonally lawyer, I got to work with people. You know from every right to Adam Brody, like every single person. Like out these are these people whose work I love for a very long time while miss I, the idea, may speciality brody mean we just did we did Mister missus smith, amerika about it. That was the year about abroad is was you're one of the sea, the ideas, massive brad pitt, angelina movie shadow right right, the fascinating career. I remember the first error, four page to Ali came out there and I went to the junk it is only come, have ever done a junk and I got ten minutes.
Each person in his that movie remember talking for ten minutes, but always thinking- This guy, like he's he's always in stuff, is always really good and but he never had a movie like this right at times like it happened, a richer jenkins late in his career. It's like I love that guy, but he was like focal point of a movie that had a chance to really bees be seen by a lot of people. Down but adequate. What did you say about was that always in your head, as you read in this zero up in the due to my work. It was in my head, it was in my head, is I was reading the book not even write like while I was still reading the novel for the first time I saw for whatever reason, picturing Jeffrey right now, the same those like I had. This is Jeffrey. This is Jeffrey Jeffrey, and so he the only person that I went to it. The script when it was first done was jeffrey, was like he's, gotta be the guy, and so I just saw I've just loved. His work
ever since I saw him in basque yacht when I was a kid we have high school, I thought I was in high school. I think fell in love with it, and farmer with Israel women's in it a night is washed everything he did since that using shaft there. the eye he was, people's fernand, hasn't shaft. So good he was an angel that america so good, and then you see was in syria. I believe so good ass, like he was just didn't. He just started like racking up these same credits. it'd be, but he was never that he was never the center of anything. You know I never saw him as a lead, except for and basquiat itself, and I just I, like as soon as I started, reading the book he just as this professorial quality about him. You know the guy the character monk, as it is a college professor, the novelist and like I just I just feel like he's the kind of guy who you you don't have to
believing he's the smartest guy in the room. You know that adds that sort of a that's the gravitas that he has, that he carries with them, and so it just felt like he's the perfect dude. So when did you start adapting? I don't want to get into the nitty gritty of this cause everyone's going to ask you this, but when it when she started adapting the book and what was the process from your writing, drafts are bad. Two of the sudden you're making the movie hell on attack re it'll, be so. I've found the book in december of two thousand and twenty and the movie will be in theaters in december of twenty twenty three. So that's a three year, somebody with a deep covered. I know I know I was well. I was in a real bad place that you know we're on a bad place. I think, but I had also had this I about to get a show on the are very, very close to getting a television show in the air and then at the last minute they pull the plug on, and that was like September october of twenty twenty, so I was in a bad place, creative the emotionally. I just
They had no idea what I was gonna do next. I just found this book through just happen, stance and and fell in love with it immediately and felt like I just can't. my creative energies again and I really wanted to focus on making it. So I I wrote while there's this it's the scanning perceval everett, who has since become a really close friend of mine and perceval, gave me the rights for free, Is your you heard how passionate I was about it. Wow yeah and he just and he gave me the reds reveals a gay rights were free for six months and go right, a script enough. Something comes in, Then you can pay me back then. So I just want to read. The script on speck and we sold it finished in lake. a burglar made, and then we we took it out to producers and sold it to tee street in the street and merci and am may of twenty twenty one and a half and then it was just after the raises regard jeffrey attached, the regatta ryan attached, and then it was
restarted. Shooting it in august of twenty twenty two and isa with super lay right. His knees, the last he was. He was like the last person we, I was real bows, a hard that was a hard roll. The cast was, we were sort of I We were. We were coming very close to like when that part had to shoot, and so I think we had it was link, appears four days between us sending this group, the isa men isa having to be set, so she stood up if she came in and and by the way, great career move by her. This is like the pipe. This is exactly the type of part she's not into that much, but I should like for since the early ever like twenty minutes, but she's really will get in it. Then she's a good actors in the sea integral you know what I may add that that's it. I feel this is that's the thing we ve got. We ve gotten some great out there's for these smaller parts. You know that Did there's not a lot of screen time, but I think the reasons are able to get the isa and give David's further. Roles is because you know that the these they dangers
Everybody said to really. These are just good parts. You know like they're there, they they're not necessarily the most screen time, but they're, good rules and like there's really. Lived in characters were doing interesting things in saying interesting things in an interesting movie. I just think that I was very fortunate to obtain if the people we obtain- and I think the way that you did that is, like you know, a lot of the especially black actors. You know everybody's, like how did you get? How did you assemble a tremendous cast and it's like well, this you know we all the time about how black actors are getting the rules that they deserve and like feel under represented in under utilised and films, and so I think that you know when you I should give them real parts since were like, even if it's not a lot of screen time, but these are real. Characters were who are saying, and thinking interesting things. Then you sort of like people are hungry, for that has been produced. Black actors, are hungry. For that general. You think this movie happens ten years ago now now Not only does movie happens, evenly fight
years ago. United at this is this is like a movie that ninety eight percent of them people who read this movie didn't like ass in autumn like this was? This was that this was a move. That the vast majority of people who looked into her, like, oh, my god, I love the script. I people Only this is one of the best groups that they read in years. And then I'm like great. Let's do it and they like to rescue. I began. We we can't do this do this and what did it? What did they think was risky like what? How had they explain that they never explain a right? That's the most. treating part about hollywood, is that they never tell you why they pass. He never tell you the truth about why they pass right ahead. There. Just I have a body who said that polly was the only place regan star from all compliments and that's all endeavours through its leg areas I my guys wonderful movement than they never tell you the truth. I think that it was either you know, prime it was I inexperienced director, and they were worried that I was going to blow it. They don't think we have like bankable movie stars or they
I think that the materials too risky or all three of those things you know. I have no idea that they would never tell me that the truth about these things, they would just say we just can't made here. I love. I really wish. I worked at a place where you can it is no. We just can't get it made here and it was like. Fortunately had arrived, I am gm step up and say you know what we're going to we're going to do this. We're gonna trust you and take a risk. That's the that's the thing that I I'd I sort of knew that hollywood was risk averse. I didn't really understand how risk averse hollywood was until I took took this out. I had never I'd. Never. I'd never had such a view of praise about a project about the creative effort. In anything that I worked on and then you know that nobody willing to sort of like actually back up that phrase with the with money. You know that That was the only thing that makes sense just trying to think from side is that you hadn't directed a movie before right because as its outlay they were giving you, you know the x men seek,
or something that was not the most expensive movie, We are a drop in the bucket for them yeah, but this it's the kind of movie that they would have made without even blinking in like nineteen. Eighty two right: we're talked about that on the rewatch balls, like these types of movies that got made we all the way through the nineties yeah, so many movies now that I'm like this would never ever get made like cloning that I live. I bet you shot redemption doesn't get made today like if somebody took out shawshank redemption is like I want to make this movie. That's that's sooner it's a long range eyes guys the iron rapture, it's not a franchise. It's not him ten superior movie like I just think that people aren't really in the market for that kind of thing. Unfortunately, I wonder if that's gonna come back, though, because this is such a fascinating movie here. A part of it is because we just said awesome directors, but we had some.
some really good. Lower budget movies come out and just in general, I think there is a large jam with projects and then there are come out now, but I can keep up like I haven't even seen. Alexander paid movie at these were my favorite directors, the man I think yet this is, I think, that's what's her I think that what you're saying as I'm talking to a lot of people now who are like who like me, had had a really hard time getting tv shows men had had a really sort of like it. It's like impossible, was so hard to get. Tv shows me for a very long time. I ve idea, how that's how that scene is going to look the other side of the strike, but I've talked to our people, just like. Oh, I just want to make an opponent found because you know that even or even a small budget series like let's say that's true- an episode return absences. Thirty million dollars, you know nobody's ya, know, is in nobody's given a first time director thirty million dollars I mean. Maybe somebody is, but certainly
Add me. I would not have gotten thirty million dollars to make this movie, and so I just think that you're getting you know if you write a good script and you sort of get some good actors, you I have an easier time. I think convincing people to give you money to make a movie than you do. A tv show just because a t v show is just such a a bigger commitment to people, and so I know, a bunch of people who said who are saying like their writing their own movies right now and try to get funding for, like an independent film, give it what's flip the mouse. And I agree with everything you just said- is up until now. early this year, the money, was in the tv shows oh yeah made more sense for somebody like you, whose up becoming writer. Who's been on. Some stuff is ready to make like that. Lead next thing, but you said you lost sat on a tv show, because your brain was a guy. Did tv show that's where that's where the most creative
but it is goin- that's right, make one more the most money. That's like the kind of the safest bat exact. Now it feels like, as the tv stuff post strike were withdrawn from like six hundred shows. The maybe two hundred shows yeah. I think a lot of creativity is gonna drive back to movies witches super exciting for me, because I miss that era me do man. I think the leg that to me, as I like, I feel like I feel like awkward, we're going to see you know it, always it always waxes and wanes right like there's always you know I've, I listen to that. Quentin tarantino interviewer, he's, like you know it's like it's by decade. Right like it's like you know, at the eighties, were like kind of fallow and then and then the nineties came, and you had like all these amazing directors come all at once. You know and then the then the early You thousands are like kind of fallow again and then he just you just talked about sort of like the option. Down the industry and so yeah, I'm hoping that I'm hoping that sort of like the world of independent cinema is is coming back because I want,
make more movies. I start. I certainly want to start directing more more independent films and b. I just think It is allowing fur, furthermore, creativity, I think that it is we ve to a place, but I think that tvs kind of stagnated answered like what what their, what they interesting things you know tv used to be its really great He because they get. I think that I always say if you talk to, if you talk to tv exact If new- and you ask them like what's on year What's on your mount, rushmore of tv shows they're all going to say basically the same thing right, they're going to say sopranos, they're gonna say breaking bad mad men like these, of the wire, and the thing guys tell people is that like go to those I m d b pages for the pilots, a name, a single This person involved with any of those projects like superman his right leg. Name a state like nobody knew who do aims. Gaddafi was James gale.
Like one of the heavy using get shorty railway gallant, rabbits, yeah, daddy, those like its biggest credit and all of a sudden, it's like he was born the play tony's brando like he was pretty. For their part. Nobody knew who, like Elizabeth moss, was rarely. These are not like bold. I am data when they start these shows and tv was a Is that made actors like made people's career? and now it's like, if you wanted to make the sopranos nowadays they'd be like okay. Well, we need we're deniro to play uncle junior and we need We're saying to direct the pilot, and it would just be, will be worse for it. You know. I personally think that you have a worse product because it would be like it would be so delicate it's like getting the most famous people involved and it would, be dedicated to sort of like making the best tv show possible. You know when I think of that. The unfortunate I think that new heading into and in film you're, seeing people you're seeing people take more risks in that way, which is crazy.
It seems like the whole thing has been inverted right that that sort of like that used to be like that that kind of, like experimental leg, let's find Let's find interesting actors and give them good rules used to happen in tv and now it's happening filmore often he had no shots apple, but this is kind of the apple strategy. Right like the morning show get the most famous actors possible, spend a lot of money, put them on a show, and then you get when you go to apple tv. It's a picture of this really famous cast that you recognize and that's not that if you go back, if like we did advanced metrics for the tv shows like you mention the greatest- has always like one creator, maybe too, never more than two percent a singular vision, and then he cast people that we didn't really have a lot of baggage history with the eu falco neuron eyes. I did other than her and remembered she was in copley for ten seconds exile Zactly. So
I dont. Maybe that come back, but I doubt it because hollywood is pretty consistently come back, we'll come back and, like ten years will come back when, like all the cool interesting, people, have leg in drummed out of t v, because they can't get anything made, and so then tv become stagnant and then everybody's, like every yeah executive tv comes back. It's just you know it's just always. This is cyclical. It's always cyclical. What part of the problem at t v is because they try to pad the episode, so this has happened, especially in documentaries. They pad the episodes to make more money, and all that this water down. You know when you go back to the sopranos, where there was thirteen up ass. I was a little fat right. The date in there they also were competing as network shows that were twenty two up, a certain when her father s eyes, they thought that a more exactly where we found the sweet spot, the last ten years about, like yeah and I think the leg you know Yes to all of that, and I think that I think that you know. Hopefully
were realizing now that, like you know, I think that now you're, seeing like six and eight episode seasons of tv. It's like getting some people are doing like the british model, where it's like flipping, don't need we don't. the exact we don't need twenty four episodes. We need sixty eight episode seasons, unlike let's just go if story that we need to tell talent move on, we don't need to tell the story anymore. I think that that is, you know, I'm hoping it one of the things that comes out on the on the other end of the strike, as you said, is like going from six hundred shows. Maybe two hundred shows and, like you know, giving audiences quality cause. That's that's another thing I think sort of like his god unspoken and in some of these cover asian is is like a lot of it. Up is made with disdain for the audience like it's like you had. It is truly just like we are just feeding the content with this is like the content unlike were inviting you guys, like the slump in the content drop and like they don't actually care. That's just like pumping out shows is. we as possible. Take an arms race. You know it's like it's like the streamers have turned.
Like let's not make the best shows its like. Let's make the most tv and sort of like that is, people are r r and then the people have been injured over the course of a weekend and then their Ivan. Think about it ever again, but we'll get the numbers up like. I think that, hopefully, that Who is going away and sort of like that? It's like, let's not make these Let's not make, as many shows is, make a limited number of shells will, let's make them really good, like I think that, hopefully that's gonna be of the things that that comes out on the other under the strikes. You could go into a stream streamer right now be like ten. Besides the house's hearted interracial couple we're shit happens and they have to adapt their heads and don't look like a major setback it we're gonna have had, but can I need ten at the sight of the lake, exactly exactly go backwards because it so funny other people from the from the first blogger, which
get. The burghers starts like oh seven year on the internet, the early two, thousands tens there at all. Bloggers, their churning out guide their get burned out, but some of them they decide they generate scripts and, in some cases, even try. and you are the one that made it and now you're the one that this whole this whole group of whoever would point to be like mccord like that's. I want to be like cord or o worked out record, but it didn't work out. Most people wait. What what was different about you and your approach have you as you look back like not to not to brag but like what do you? What what do you think made your path different than other people? Ah, I think a lot of it. His luck. I don't like when people I don't like when people, all talk about their success without talking about luck, because luck is a huge part of success. In my mind, It's and so, and so one of the things that I got lucky I like it is incorrect.
Really hard to break into the industry. Like the number one question people ask me that I'd never have an answer to his like. How do you somebody important to read your script and that's just leg dude, I have no clue a guy that that is, that is an impossible question. The sort of there is so many roadblocks and obstacles and gatekeepers into this industry that they sometimes feels punishable on the outside. My first stroke of luck was I was working at gawker and this guy reached out to me. One danger said: hey Michael mally. Boston, you know, I'm a guy, like you know my aunt. By now. I guess I might go molly reached out to me seen some of my stuff on gawker and he just reached out and said: hey. Do you want to work on this tv show that I'm creating, and so he was grading the It's called survivor's remorse that was based loosely on Lebron James' life. Yet, and so he asked me to come be in the writers room of that show, and so I had it. I'd never ridden a tv show before and he was a look. This may be
disaster you may hated. You may be bad at it, but, like you, may love it in like let's take a risk on each other and sort of like you can come, join the demon and and I'll take a risk on you. If you take a risk on me, so you have to la for this. You did right, I was. I was already living in l, a in l, a for docker, and so so I just saw as a cool, and so he offered me the job. On a friday visually I our work on a monday, so I had to call my recalled by bar sincere, like a man, I'm sorry to do this. by leg a minute We forty eight hours notice nominally themselves. he was very graciously said That's that was okay and end parted ways, and I went to work on his show and so that tomorrow, let my hearing about this anecdotally by other areas like cord cord quit blogging, he's right for a tv show that the emphasis placed on the broadest dig up exactly what I wait what's happening,
and then it worked out, and that was that was january of two thousand and fourteen. So it was like. I think that I that's another thing. leg. I am lucky that Michael Molly had scenes and my staff and asked me to read through the show, despite but I'd, never invert team. I use that word also get so you get rhodesia and then, and then my second and then the second stroke of luck was, I think, I mean like just being twenty fourteen like it was like it was still it. I'm one sort of like Things were going well in blogging and like internet media was still good and so sort of like a lot of people. I think once necessarily trying to get out of the industry at that point, because it was like a like when I am Ok, I was I look at this is terrible has come back. I was like there's gonna be around forever, so am I gonna? Do they show? And I don't like it I just come back to gawk and I was like the internet. Internet media is going to be around forever like I did. People think that I laughed I was like. I see the writing on the wall in this. Isn't gonna, be here any more, but that is not true. That is. I did not see the writing on the wall. I thought
who's gonna be fine forever, and so I just went because I wanted to try something new, but I think that I kind of I kind of laughed at a time when people weren't necessarily looking for four ways out of the industry. I think that sort of like people, like others I'm comfortable and dead, I'm gonna be blogging forever, and so I just I think that I was a little ahead of the curve in that way, and so and then one day just wasn't it. I was just in it and sordid and then that I really the second did the one thing that I actually do think that I did the ones decision that I actually made. I think that really helped shape what my career became was I was really picky with the with the jobs that I took after that, you know that was like I was I wanna I dont want it just sort of like rush into anything because they're gonna offer me a bunch of money or because there's like celebrities involved, like I just chose work that I felt like was. I was I felt like shows that were trying to like
takes wings and do something that other people were doing. You know, I felt like even if it was like. Even let europe the good place, it's like its argued, in a sitcom about at the golf philosophy and like death, then sort of like where what of what it means to be in the afterlife. Okay, that sounds interesting, like succession you're, making like a dark somebody about about the murdoch family, like ok, that sounds cool, lichen and watchman, is like crazy right, like I just I was working on stuff. The just fell like they were taking huge swings, because the thing that I felt was that that was how you sort of broke through the noise, because what I had started sort of like at the time when it really was starting to become an arms race. Just like more more more more, and so I always felt that one of the way, stood to sort of like make sure you you what you are waking broke through was like at least it's gonna, be a big swing in its better. It's better to be a sort of like a big grand failure,
like a mediocre, relax, middling, tepid success united, I think that that is that it the thing that I but I wanted to do so? I ended up working on on a series of shows that you know br were able break through and sort of like were able to be part of the conversation in a way that other shows weren't himself. That is something that I do feel like again, that's lock right. The vote taking those jobs is locked, but I think that I I chose the region you take died. They. I think that you know, for instance, that and I got the watchman job was. I went to a dinner party make sure. As one night I ended up sitting next to David lyndal off because an end I was talking, his hat off, because their leftovers are just ended, knows obsessed with the leftovers, like yeah series the serious finale. The leftovers leg had happened like three weeks before, and so I was just I damon forever and do was like amazing and just chatting him up.
Then he emailed me like a month later was like hey. Do you do you want to work on the show called watchmen itself, so I just got that thanks to sitting next to David, dinner party. So there's the luck, but then what have you know? Not luck is that Damon comes to means, or why has this crazy idea, unlike ok. You know what I'm I'm down. That sounds interesting, and so that's the that's the part that I think we're like. I made that decision, but it's always equal combinations of like hardworking done work. Well, I saw you a good job of aligning with people who you can learn suffer I'll have it. I did damon Damon, the love and make sure like my two biggest man, tourism is industry. Like I will I will. I will work with those guys whenever they asked me to work for them and they were like when I wrote this movie script. They were the first two guys that I sent the script to to like give me notes on it. So I will yeah, I'm always indebted to them. This episode is brought to you by shopify

This is, I don't know how to ask this question. You are a good director, but how did you know you were going to be a good director is a one of those things where you? just don't know until it's actually happening cause never done, something you don't totally Doha gonna play out, but you clearly are good at directing But you know you don't know I'm so you do know it. Yes idea,
you know that you do it at it. I don't didn't write. It's like you, just gotta, do it like. I. I didn't know that I'd be good at it. I thought that I thought that I had good ideas, but I could have been a disaster. You know it's one of those things where you just have to trust your instincts like. How did you you'd be a good podcast Varela. You'd, probably didn't know how terrible inventing two years I know that you could have done as you could have gotten a director right and you could have been like I'm right it s in the limited at all and calm hands of somebody else, beer like fuck it up directed this yeah. No, I just felt I've. So here's here's gave me the courage to direct this. Was that so that the first pillar, it gave him the idea that, like maybe I should direct his zs and sorry and I was working on season, two- a master none and we retire. The disease was like. Have you ever thought about directing is used erecting a few? The episodes that season and I said now. You know I didn't go to film school. I don't know anything about lenses or cameras or anything, so it doesn't seem, for me. He was I did he's like. I went
it's a n y. U for business school and last spring at nami he was like last year I got nominated for a golden globe for directing like he was a guy I don't it's like. I went to films believes it all you have done have is a vision in your mind and then be able to articulate that vision to the people. Did you hired me around you and so the apron did the seed in like twenty thousand twenty sixteen, and then I found this book and twenty twenty and the in that I finally had the courage to direct. Was that I when I read the book and then I wrote the script I was like. I understand this interior ill as well, if not better than anybody else in the whole world like like. I know these characters. I know the story in such a deep way that even if I don't know anything about lighting or cameras leg, I know The story that I want to tell, and I have the that I'll use. That is my roadmap for you now, and so I felt like Even if I don't know this other shit, I know
I know the story that I'm gonna tell and that can be my guide when I make all these other decisions that I don't know about it, so to me? That was the gear leg of the reason I I hadn't like. I knew that I wanted to drag for four years before I found this, but I didn't really We put anything because nothing. I didn't feel that passionate about anything, and I knew that if I went there and didn't feel passionately about the story in the characters and didn't know the other stuff. Then it'd, be sort of like really out of my depth and underwater and, like I don't care about these people, I don't care about the story, and so, ah that's going to make the story horrible and I think you can see Really. I think that you can see a lot of movies and tv shows where it's just like you can tell. I think we all can tell like when nobody's passionate about something like we angry you watch a like? Nobody actually can't like this. Everybody who is coming to set every day was just eric, Asher jack, like they were not there because they believed in what they were doing and I felt like
I was worried that if I took something on that would be, you would be able to tell that this was the first thing that I found a like. Oh, every day that I got a sad, I will be deeply passionate about the story. There were trying to tell him. I think that up got our hands a little, but I feel like that. They got talk and amber waves and buggy nights valid cord you're like a director down. The real movie jack. It's a real reject. I don't I don't want to step on the movie too much cause. really want people watch says without worry that we're in this by the movie but yeah. We should talk about I can see the movie. I am witches, it's just brilliant and the way you flip, some staff in I didn't hear you talk is that I am afraid to say too much because their owners, but there is a specific angle of this movie tat, I think, is gonna hit close to him Some people are definitely in the railways and eighty the railways too, but I do think hollywood's going to react to this. I quit
They slowly angle. So the premise of the film is that Jeffrey right place this college, as your slash novel- is named monk and eyes, specializes in kind of contemporary retelling of classical greek literature and serve. Ah, you know people say like your books are like well written, but they're kind of academic and dance, and they always say, you know why. Why are you not like writing about like black stories like that some people, want to read for me, like you're, a black american like right about black stories right about the inner city right about drugs and write about slavery. in his like you know, like what I right. I think that my stories are universal. These are black story because I'm black and I'm telling them Why? Why do you want me to do other sellers stuff? Every boy you know said yourself, and so one day in the sort of bit of rage how many rights this kind of deeply stereotypical book full of like a lot of troops and ridiculous stereotypes about the black community,
any rights. It is a prank intending to kind of humiliate them. The publishers and sort of blake and show them the kind of garbage they keep soliciting from black writers and he says it out under a pseudonym and it becomes like a huge best- sellers are by far the by far the most successful bookies ever published it sort of like he's getting offered like all this money is getting offered movie deals in this insane book deal and their stuff going on in his personal life that I won't spoil it requires him too, to need a lot of money fast and so the rest of the stories him existing between these two worlds of meeting the might of this. This successful is providing but also deeply resenting. That this book is because mingled as big of a successes it as it is and he's trying to sabotage the book. Yeah a letter in its in its actually working in his favour, decided tat. You want the title
Is it because I still body about exactly because just there though the lie that get up it's like any, a story about a lie, sort of like the lie, becomes bigger and bigger and bigger, and tells her that the person care at their arms around it anymore and should have we see what happens. How much of this was reflected in that either you been offered or just whatever since two thousand and ten as the money I like. I got three months before I found this book. I got a note from an executive that are needed to make a character. Blacker and my script knows I gotta. This guide has to be blacker and and that that no came through an emissary right, and I told my Can't I told the emissary I was like listen. I will indulge that. No. If this person gets on a phone with me, or oars, sits down. We face to face and tells me exactly what blacker means and what does it mean to make character black or I'll talk of I'll talk to them? If they sit down and talk to me about that and
you know that no one aware I because to have like precision, they would probably have to commit a civil rights violation. Further, didn't I couldn't pure and simple, but like that stuff happens, you know I had a friend I a friend recently, who does a couple years ago, she's a black female journalist and she's getting into film on television, and she came to Wafers are meetings and you know they're alive, she was sat down with one production company and they were like. You know what what kind of stuff are you interested in writing and she said you know I I might. of the nineties, I'd really like to write an erotic thriller. Ah, she said I like the right, a rom com, you know I haven't. I think that those kind of fallen by the wayside. They said, okay, interesting, give us some time. Back to later themselves. You have their office and they called me. three or four hours later that day and this regard we ve got the perfect project for you think it's that its it's called blind tom, and it's about a blind slave who, thanks to a wealthy white benefactor, become
becomes a piano prodigy, unlike blows, like becomes is like this world class vienna layer, ah who, we gotta get like, despite the back, that he's a blind slave, and it's like our guy that doesn't sound that like an idea from we ignore murray, exactly I gotta put it the film and would have been would have been right and placing the it is something that could do anything like I said like this was true in three years ago, this was not forty again. This was this was very this. This was during covert you now and so the yeah. The reality of of things like like look that things aren't as bad as they were in the eighties and nineties in the sixties and seventies and the like. Obviously, things are getting better, but you know things are still pretty pretty messed up and it's not that's the thing. It's not just black people. It's like I talk,
do what's your friends who are like? Why does every story set in mexico have to be about a drug cartel and have them we're like orangey brown tint on every on every shot like it's like buying mexico's been in a in a dust storm for hundred years I got like it's like these- are that these are things that, like a lot of people are feeling not just people matches black people. It's like that. You know the hollywood, still has a very limited perspective on like what people's lives look like a sort of the story that they wanted a often don't contain Complexity, nuance like these people's real lives, and I think people get frustrated about by that. it's funny when, in hollywood shuffle about those public, thirty five zero years, years ago, air, its hidden we're like in the rewatch was we do like what movie? Would you watches double feature that, being a young double feature, you're moving by fully involved.
I think that I am so info, once by that movie lay. That is a that meat is like one of the all time plastics for me, and also, though, I think that that movie just really rewired, my brain when I saw it was there cause? I you know I was thinking about this theory simply that like when you were a kid psycho. I stopped by some of the programmes nine or ten and nine or ten is like right in that right now at the age we are learning about the founding of the country and you're learning about slavery and civil rights and stuff, and I was thinking that, like the the movies that they, the the media they used, like teacher. That stuff is like basically like horror movies, like us like I remember watching me, it be burning, unlike that movie like terrified, It was like I was watching nightmare on elm street relegates is just like so fucking, scary and
that that is a lot of the media that you consume is just like these stories of violence and bloodshed and people killing people and all of a sudden. I watch this movie hollywood shuffle and it was like out these guys are too being about racism but they're laughing every every and there's like they're making jokes about it and there like finding ways the like not be miserable, even in her like the circles, aids. Is that therein were finding ways to like laugh and skills fine joy in the world- and I was like oh- and that that really that gotta article revelation to me. I really didn't know what satire at another word satire back then probably, but I sort of others dead. What that movie did to me. What am I felt like? I was like. Oh there's more than one way to get a cat here like the way you is the only way you know terrifying people and making people feel well guilty or or making people feel like that, that, like they should pity people like
There's more than one way to build ended the like another way to sort of build empathy is to make people laugh into to sort like is more inviting way, sometimes too, to let people into what you're thinking you know, others, This is ass. Your quote that I read that I read recently said if you, if you want to tell you Who is the people you better make them laugh or otherwise? They'll kill you. I think that that is like that holds true a lot for four the media, at least for me in I've, I've always really and I've loved satire. Ever since I saw that movie where the seams, get down to mention. Your next movie that you ve been working on an autobiography of tommy, alter the most connect him personally erica purely truly like damage that we should do it doc on tommy? I still don't, I know, tommy's, Israel, age, that's something! That's something that maybe we could. We could realize the
they all talk any somewhere between twenty five and fifty four, exactly like the best kept secret in hollywood Why you gotta tell one of the reasons we ve been talking about this forever you're entourage pitch. Oh jack. They give every thought on a package. However, the most important stores ever haven't told it I've been told it anywhere. Really publicly. So here we go. This is cords. Entourage story take the floor, so ok, they d in this? age of reboots. I was like you know what rebuilding all this stuff that doesn't necessarily need to be rebooted it. It's like you re rebuilding it like. I think them part of my, it was in brain drain is broader than that. I carry with me in in two Television is like. Why now like? Why should the story be told now why in twenty twenty three. the millions of stories that you could be telling. Why should this one exists? In the present day-
there are a lot of these reboots. The frustrating thing about them is that there is no there's no answer to that question. The only answer to that question is like, while this was popular in the past, now transfer like squeeze every dollar out of this piece of ip can in, but so entourage, I was like there's a reason: This do exist right. The reason for this to exist in the press day is because it is really funny to look at that show in the context of like hell. Which the world has changed verses. When I was on the air, I like how a radically different surpassed what is in the world and culture is, and so I had this book- I have this pit. for entourage where it starts with our ari, walking into his new agency right, which is founded with lloyd, his addled assistant and so aryan lloyd, have founded legs this this massive new? It is your hollywood, an already comes in like swaggered. In one day, I like the way that our swaggered and lloyd's comes up to me
Look I got some italian is like added. You know he's you know, dismissive of lloyd and says something racist and homophobic, lloyd. Unlike his eyes, I get out now. I gotta, like gotta go I got, I gotta call them sorting at nine a m. So like I'm sorry, I can't deal with a right now and lloyd's like a really have something new for the times like it's got away. Just then, like our existing goes on guys. I barriers right now need slackers into his arms. He picks up. The money goes erin, what's goin on brother and the on the other end of the fund goes out This is an error in this is our own unfair. On coming from a new york, I got some questions. Where do you get ten seconds who does what and his eyes like I've got some questions for you about about, are about your career and some some things that people have said, and so it starts. in our gold is getting me too.
Like you lay like an arrow playing himself or, as in the area around the throne, invariably himself grand he essentially starts asking area about. These things we ve seen are actually do he's. Like you know, tat is true. This we find out lloyd was trying to tell our if you like. Is it true that you said this dear assistant? Is it true that you said this to your system? Is it true that, like you, Is this about carbon electricity? Truth, you silly it just all of the stuff tat we ve seen had I been in the show, is coming, is coming to sort of like hot aryan. So so far is getting me too. That's his story. He is now sort of like no longer really representing actors. He's he's representing arms like tik tok influencers flag. So, like you, representing a bunch of like teenage boys who beat the shit out of him when he goes to their like high passes and stop and they're like play a prank saddam and they they treated like shit. but he's I gotta do you think is, after all, their money is now and then
the drama is no longer an actor drama? Has a drama? Has a trump podcast like us, berger like mag out of the bag apply. Gaston he's like do is like megan way more money. Doing I ever was as an actor and like selling shitty supplements on. Is this website, and you, like you, just like falling interpretive, magnified gas turtle is dead frontal over those. But his ghost appears in every apples like every episode they talk to turtles, go so he's still with the boys, but he d it is there that there's a frightened him in trying to him and dramas in dramas, pie, gas studio, and you he's gallic face tat to you, Does it not that pop up in his we have every episode leg like only wanted something in there and then very veni, is trying to play Bernie gets.
in this eva, do her, nay Bernie gets limited, serious, it's happening alex and so he's like you Finally, I have a serious role, and so eva comes up german she's, like listened veni. I really like you for the part, but you know man like I can't like this. Are you stop is taking everybody so I got a yankee bar is your age and, like I can't I can't I have you on the on the shelf you're, going to, if you're still with our arts, so sort of it's like it's like a three to four episode limited, series like limited reboot, where we just sort of sea these guys and the story that I have the story that I have built dislike. You know it becomes that, johnny drama, like johnny dramas stories like his supplements like start making we'll go blind, and these guys like, like a jerk you, because you started getting up from some sheriff three somewhere. Like me, wasn't there is no quality control, and so these
inter bells that he is selling like make people go blind and it's like all of a sudden he's, got to figure out the deal with that, but the but the final, the vital your line, is whether or not is whether not been he's gonna fire are so, unlike he's got I'll. Just tell you, because this has never happened. Light of day. I've already tried to pigeons this tip two people and they have zero interest in even talk you before the powers that be have zero interest in rebuilding entourage. If, yes to me, was surprising, I thought be very funny, but that the last shot is is. Is it sir? Veni calling on its vinnie calling. Ah, ah I following, are we to tell him that he is he's firing at his leg is like I'm sorry are at his last, like every other jumped ship and he's like any. We ve been through so much together like please, please benny's like I'm sorry, man like I can't do it, and so he said.
is like it's over many hangs up and so far is like standing there in his legs. The big off is unwell. Shining like he gets furiously roses chair, through the window of his office and he's just standing merrylegs letting them he's hit him and he's like standing there? Thinking and his like so frustrating is red faced and his wife is left him now, unlike his empires, crumbling unlike as the breezes eating his face, you just see himself. He just runs and leaves out the way Does it want I've out of the window and his lands and his lands on his back in the middle? you're boulevard, unjustly you sort of like, I have the shot like as the blood starts puddling around him like this candidate. Does a slow pull up and it just goes. Robot. Look pretty obvious. What body in the middle of welfare- oh, oh, yeah, then, and then that's the credits and app
bucket that would your bed it would be so funny. so good and like it is a reboot that, like it is a report that deserves to exist. I think that there's a reason like that would be really funny and like it would be just All about how much this has changed like this show in a different context like what does it look like and yeah It's it's going nowhere. I've tried I've tried to get in the room at h, b, o they won't. They won't listen, but I am happy to I'm happy to say it here. I'm really happy you've give me a platform to talk about this, because it is one my favorite ideas that have come up with. I think it would be great. I think it's the best idea heard in the last like three or four years, especially the ending is the best part, and if you do it as a limited edition series, each episode could end with you know every entourage absurd ended. where they were just kind of looking out and to allay our looking out off a cliff or looking out at whatever the
three them looking out. But then turtles goes the scanner and said IRAN's goes like on the horizon, like move faster in lyon, king, like he's just like yeah boys, what's up because he had the then the second, alas, last episode you have then they say you have the fiery and he's looking out by himself he's looking out, get the hills. The turtles, Here is a lingering in a hitting a ball turning goes to smoking a bar, but we everybody still, if we use all the actors rate for this. Oh a hundred major areas by turtles goes a hundred percent. No, this is like we get the band back together. Like that is, as that is not giving up on this. Maybe maybe this being on the package will help gets a moment them. Maybe we're gonna, you gonna wider. Each. You got a wide range of the fans out their love, it, let's bring it back. I would love to. I would love. I know I did
we me farther, I cord, when one is the movie. When can we see it in the theatres? if you're in new york, los angeles or austin texas, you can see it. the theatres already read basically, but it officially comes out december fifteen Then it'll go wider on december. Twenty second avenue. fully wide in the united states on january fifth, and then it goes to europe Uk in on February. I believe in that for that is the answer. As reboot the tommy altered documentary his axe to products. That is your kyar shots, the movies, I love that has really proud of you that you, you pulled it off.
