Do this the best thing about key comics. He comes up introduced himself. I already know who he is: full hamley goes amen. I know I notice you ve been. How can I watch his lately? He is reason I wore this watch on the special because he's like man come on class, a gold you boys, you're in the goal rolex so as to give a

The special we talk about the site can spend incidents in the podcast, my god We talk about watches a little bit towards the end. He brings a watch that are really obsessed with it's the way panam, gave all their pilots and, as a guy who travels, I think this school shit. It's the g m t sixteen forty five or somethin. We talk a lot about the grateful that at about music and why we love this music and why that music found us at that. Stage in our lives. We talk about our favorite songs. We talk about. We talk about a lot about the grateful dead. We talk. lot about him grow up in canada and him discovering the dead by himself without any one else. He is an amazing comedian. He's got

I get dyke Started do now like every day, but I was like a few times a week, whatever banal like, oh my god, will not sell tickets. If I don't do this, so what's the What's the algorithm, then, for you do you put, do you know consider putting inst material on instagram burning material. That was a worry yet cause. I I just did a special and I was like I had a couple of those things had been posted earlier and I was a little paranoid about it really yeah why I like I was worried that people we like. Oh, we already saw this on instagram oh yeah, but you know what I think. I don't think that.
I! Never what and when I was young watching dane and wanting deigned to material that I had seen him do because I brought friends to watch him. Do you it so I saw my special come out who lala yet the last two weeks ago and then lay last weekend I was a sandy ago and I was so I had to do like there was some of the material right. I can add I remember I was talking to molly from punchline as she said that the first time that Hedberg headlines the punchline people were reciting his jokes like he would set it out. They would say it with them, nor any relax so pomp that he was doing it over. Ok just keep in your head gazette away, I feel terrible like I was like a fuck. What I think that's part the gig as it like you most people, so I think of were tell me the greatest grew this, but I think most people bring People to see a stand up comic that they want to turn on to them, like
yeah I think now. I think it's really like yellow one person would follow instagram and then be like super stoked and want to bring their friends yeah. I hope that they did certain jokes yeah. You know why I mean look the on the wrong one to talk about this troubled due in the machine for fuck em, dude you're, the ray I that I have a machine. Sorry really! Yes, when ten years ago, samara open for you and came back. It was, I hope, of He tells the best stories and I'm always tell stories in my and my acts are distracted, distractions, no, not at era straight up dead head. To day. That's two dead, then yeah, thereby unless your o c down, I am D. That's this have not can talk about that dead, but no yeah. No, I I gotta love the grateful dead. I love the grateful dead. I Finally, the eu of a global that cause- I was I was sick, do you today. Every six I was in- and I was thinking bert- would be the best deadhead
I just to the Aasm. I was really the dead, brilliant, a fish really to the whole scene, widespread panic, that was my. That was me how how your thirty nine I am get up. There How do you remember I that was my whole scene like that was the music I that was the music when I, what college and I decided I did not need to be the person I was in high school yeah cause a little bit of a meat at nice. Cool, ok and I was like I. Member. I bought a zombie marley to tape. I a What was the name of the scar ban were the It- was a black to deploy trumpet two member but yes, yeah about fishbone album and I got interest The widespread panic and widespread panic out of all the ones that I pulled out was the one
right, gravitated, nose like oh fuck, yeah and then from widespread panic in the dead was like the debt. To me was almost like them. Rolling stone is to my daughter's friends like they don't know the rolling stones, but they have their t shirts. Okay, like the dead you like when you went colored, you see posters of the dead, yeah you'd see the dancing bears on the back of trucks. You'd see the skeletons holding hands, you didn't known, no one was listening to the dead and then I discovered the dead and it was like beat the the boy who took me a second together, get them yeah and then what I got him I'm done yet, like I when I guess I'm dyslexic and bob where my daughter's islas very dislikes, oh really like may possibly- and I would love to go, had dad with you guys the such a personal ever me in your fucking, like dude for dude, for me detects Peter there to get the phone number from an email into my found. You like like it was like what you tear up that crack a safe away. What those that need about bomb? What dyslexic jokes you have
I have a lot of you who are still till like twelve. I think my special opens with like ten or twelve minutes of dyslexics. Are you serious yac? Every time I write, another chunk always cause I'm just everywhere. I met you writing a book about being dyslexic really yeah. I hope that's what it's about. That's it you're. What. Peter has have befell yeah, I'm writing a book about oh yeah, dyslexia and I work with I'd. I, which is like a big, advocate for kids, with just glaring differences, so so isler is so dyslexic it is we ve, It has been a big bone. Hilarity in our house, because there was like I mean She had her ass kicked with it. Legit a member will its brutal its brutal because it read it debilitating. I mean on solely levels and I won't go into because I know ilo was trying to grab onto a little bit of her privacy these days but am method.
Joke! I have, as she came up to me as yours, viciousness was you. Sickness was mississippi's outlawing adoption, and I went oh my god and I started to land use so bored decades an island, ugh so they want, or the yeah sends a guy this joke to be honest but but you know like this that abortion adoption nightmare. a trainee trainee tyranny that would be but that would be private. I've read trainees, need a stronger entity as country having read a lot and undecided, also anchovies, aurelia, anchovies and artichokes. A total perhaps the very different on a pizza, and I just have the wrong dice embalmed of its fish. I guess it's just my life yet, but so yeah your dyslexia and that's why it took you so long finish.
I'm not I've. Never I never could read a book. I could never read a book. I guess so frustrated reading and I read things wrong. Look like and I'm sure you'll probably identified this, but like any of the like, I said this day. Cannot google house, dragons and try to figure the family line cause Deniro S and the sources and decisions there. All it look. like the same words me and I give up fuckin. I would when I would read out. There are words I just don't. I just go that'll, never I'll never be allowed. It thou yet like this for me, in other words a dispute dotterine you but like for me. I can't donna fire symbol with a sound, so any word I know if I'm reading it's just a word that I memorized over my life. The compound word like like, if there was a street, I'll greenwood I'd, be able to read that but street names last names
like I can't spell some of my best friends last names by one hundred percent. Oh, oh, there are two this day there are names of comics that I just dont say because I, because it's a of your whatever and yet like theirs: names, I just don't go for because it just dont me where I just go now, and I'm not that bad dyslexic isler is a to do a game for her, where we have her red street signs and with a dull stress about it. Just be what you say: yeah read what you see and we would be crying laughing. at what she saw verses. What we saw yeah, we would have bomber that I mean we ve always been light hearted about it. I used a joke I went in to when we went in to her her, I guess maybe of great second great class. They were like. We need to hold back ear, you know she's, reading that and then and there and they couldn't diagnosed dyslexia in l a
u s de they were allowed to qualify. The diagnose, dyslexia yeah, but they were like. Where was she we know she's dyslexic yeah, but we can't diagnose it when I was like and I said as a joke- I said to his teacher braille and they're like why, but her eyes. Don't work like she learned very braille. Could that would that be easier if they're like what the teacher, braille and I said hold on we're, we're getting your dog yeah, I set myself, I go ok, her eyes, don't work well the blind kid. Would you just hold him back yeah cause they can't read and they go. No, we give them audiobooks I go. Can we have audio, books and they were like yeah. We could do that yeah. We could have fucking I'll. Give me one second wrote him, you get. You always gotta. Take this call hold asked me how I slept last night. How did you slacking off awesome- I'll. Tell you why? We led by my they're my movie on his shoulder yesterday, ocean So she's worried he was get sued by legendary, ok. So who he's been taxi male days like what happened, what happened and and saw a guy he's. We ve been talking about for landfill tax, wipe I'll just take on no problem here but the airwaves up. It was pretty a chaotic and then I had a fucking fitting today and everyone flew back first thing in morning. Ok, you have a hard time with Have a hard time with drinking on planes like a drink up on four fine, ok, so I drink on planes and animal haven't drank for a month and I've been able to
pretty good, like ok, yeah. So I flew hubs sober this today and never happens. I'm usually hammered out Oh really earlier age, rigour. I you I do you I'll, I enjoy drinking thoroughly. I know I tried alike. I just get hung over and I'm not productive. Certainly have a couple. Drinks really sometimes I loose I like to let them So we go. Let's go back to this house here, the I thought of it. This is also by rascal. This actually joker have rise in it. So true like I was like kenya was cool yeah, but you can can spotted dyslexic like if I talk to you die yeah, see smart and with it and it's it's down, I can't read you dislike I guess so easy to spot. So I was junior. You know what really wow you know and then arrived. The first great like immediately, you know who says reading and the joke is, as you know, and I just wanna go get fight. You know like stealth window for decades, which I didn't do it. Then they would do this, like that. My first good teacher and I could
like similar ages, cheap. It was like no idea what dislikes it was. She would put It's she put my desk at the back of a classroom facing the wall and thus is where I was because I couldn't I would get zero every spelling and then she would teachers would always be like will sounded out, and I'm like that seeing till I funny at someone's like death, virtue to peanuts me like oh chew. Slowly but yeah. It's the same thing: man slow death. I knew they had books it when I was a kid they're little like folders, like pamphlet there were, there were cardboard but there were little books and they were colored. There was like reside green, blue purple and not to like silver gold and and you would, you would read them in first or second grade, you'd, read them and you'd graduate slowly, then the next one and I could never get past the first one such an. I have a really hard time reading out loud
and so I I had. I have to trick my habit. I prompter was a real fucking problem. Oh dude, I it's it's my nightmare moving were words, move anyways and then on a teleprompter, so you have to memorize- a member, so I'm really good at. If I read at once, I'm really good memories asian like actually to the point. It's a scale because you'd, like that's whose all these strength dyslexic tat yeah. Like I'm Sure delilah has he's like strength that no one else no dialogue, ilo urinary I'd, know no noise, isaac, newton, fox delilah. No, well, I'm a Islas brain is very obvious amid a lot of buds, dyslexic thing too, by the way. What delilah I gotta go, to come out here, because you she.
Her brain obviously has made me a ton of money. That's all I've done is legit taken what she said put it in my act and not it at all times, and it has been the biggest stories. I tell because her brain seized the world as they say the majority billionaires dyslexic yak, as your forced to use force to create work rounds in your brain to get place yeah. When I did, I did a movie with more camel and he she pulled me aside. He said your ability to memorize is on heard up. He does no one. I would memorize things is. I couldn't read the script I couldn't yes, I have someone say them as soon as I said them. I had I committed to memory yeah, and so I had this woman ana, who would read my script. In the morning. We do rehearsal and I would have read it the night before and a sheep.
You know you change is in the morning you and she would read the part of bird and everyone do their scene and I'd listen door and then ok I'll. Do it and then come in and I do it and I immediately had to have it memorized, and I used to do that. For apple general aims to do that for at four prompter reads: like when I was doing go big show, I'd I'd, read it through one time and then just memorize the chunks. Do you like that? Still that's a nice surprise. It better dyslexic thing, and then I, we do these this this year I did the site. There was like this conference for ida, which is an amazing organization here, and I was talking to the It users- I you know, you know teenagers there that are like the head of the group. To help other dyslexic, kids in their high school and we're talking and its ike I really thought it was just a problem that just I had and then every time you talk to dyslexic like we struggle with organization like unlike late or like to get to a flight,
It's like a military operation. For me. I am, I beg them. I think they're, my phone everything's gonna be packed reva. We struggle in all these different things, but then we excel in all these different things and the thing itself, and the thing that message dislikes up is we don't realize those things until you done school, so you ve been terror. But every day till you're eighteen and then you have this ike, weird self esteem, and then you set out like the statistic of people, but are in prison. There are dyslexic, is so high and I get it it dude. It's like, like its seven at ten beg people. Really. I've made the mother when only disabilities weapon using different religions and the most predominant learning disability is one that related to words. But I get it I was in special ed and they might for some reason my parents I would come home. Teachers would say was dumb and my dad we like Dammit you're, smarter than them like somehow my dad maintain and my self esteem throughout the whole thing, but, like kids,
parents wouldn't accept their dyslexic. That's a big thing with their just in denial. They don't want to have that labour market, which is horrific or p. Lies and for not being able to spell whatever those kids are gonna get new fighter, they're gonna just be pissed off and chocolate to do whatever is going to lead to them getting into trouble and bodies. My correlation, too, to my one of my bodies is a very wealthy did and he was hard quarter. success and just was. I am not going to college or figures up now yet, but that brain, I think, allows you to see the world I I don't know what it does. I knows that I was not a very good student nor I never excelled in school. I would I would take tests and be like I killed that, and I thirty five and be like what the fuck yeah and I would have miss, read the easiest thing and I'd see it again and go god damn it yeah, and I never I mean I don't know how I got through college. I mean I, I I it's amazing that you did
seven years yeah but butter. But now in hindsight my brain for this business is so what I should have been doing this whole time. Yeah is I love thinking of promos? I love thinking of of opportunities. I love the I love writing I love. I love fucking riding lorries and jokes. I love it more than anything to whittle away at a am I say that my dyslexia or an- and I also have all of this is a thing by me. Here people a lot like miss here, people constantly and people will save something, and I'll monsieur them at all start laughing and then we'll go what's so funny and, unlike what you're saying say my mom's no longer with us there you're going together, yeah, the guy who said he got paralyzed cause. It fell asleep in the back of a truck, and I thought he said he got paralyzed from the waist up.
And I started, and I was like wait, is at a thing and then I pictured it. Wednesday laughing in the leg. It's not funny and I was like hold on hold on hold on. And I could start, but that honesty them first set up. That was like how I'd get a joke. We address, reading or miss hearing. Something will mean another part of it is if you struggle with reading writing and that's how the education system is set up. Then you're like a coup, wheeled spring. So when you find like, I never head that you know we like the more you put into the more you get out of it. I never had that. I would try to read every single day and graduated high school would like first great, being level internet. So you Then, when you find stand up or something that you're good at yours, I hope We shit like if I do a show I'll be better at this tomorrow. It's so it's like it. A dyslexia once you're out of school helps you in so many four ways. Are you an only child nigh the brother and sister, both both readers? Canadian? Yes, where vancouver
why I grew up in ontario, but I said a comedy makeover was what's ontario cherry. As the province where drano in ottawa is entails just ontario windsor windsor jago, yeah yeah, I know, on ontario in a week a really no no in December. I'm sorry to it's. I could do it shows material in december or what what's the difference between ontario and say, Alberta, So it's british columbia is on the west coast and then a bird is beside you give it to me in state talk. I learn barricades eyes. Cherry always like new york state albert as like texas really yeah I'll albert as I make sense, for it is like at all was it goes back and forth by like oil and like do it
due to the crowd, worked at oil rigs and had tired toys, yeah and voted for trompe than other canadian. And now that's that's a trump. That's that's like there were you, would see a trump flag in Alberta in can it not? Even the cut has no jurisdiction the, but that also that's the that's more. That's it's very texas like where you, under the tragedy we have. I was once I discovered the dead. When I was a kid I was really just ended like a meeting together music, but I admire the judge we have I'd friends at went to school in their kind of hometown, so they would cannot be alone really yang, enact kingston ontario. So, we gotta be around up, so I really admire them. I was ike sad. One, the pathway, yeah yeah. Lead singer, fuck yeah does, when you find out the people can die like that? I know I know he was. I mean that
they were such had such a strong following in in canada. Next they tried to break it. Can he, of trouble, kind of breaking in the states and their that I mean they have so many great. Do you think they would have been a den accurate? got the man s now they did do s now and then that was like, I think, they're big kind of shot to try to break the states, but it's never color went down here, I've ever one for summer or what I backpack through europe ever canadian, like you know that, ethically gas like yeah, I, ah, what are they did? They call the hip yet have man oh come on man you're! All you got to get in with a hip yeah, they love it. Their last show our prime minister was in the crowd and justin trudeau. Yeah yeah he was like rocking out was made at him mixed up with other people. Wait people again, canada, don't like just intruder right. Ah, I'm pretty out of touch with canadian. It takes you to act as they, it's so less attaining that american politics, it's pretty plus a wheel,
because I made a joke about the queen in vancouver. No yes, vancouver yeah exocet, the queen Elizabeth us format. Elizabeth dinner, theatre, yeah, and I made a joke about. I thought I was gonna, be an easy fuckin steal, a joke and boy they fuckin hated the queen. Oh, they think that and it was a girl of ivory- yeah, that's the others very, very cooper of them. We I mean we hit like in in our classrooms. We have a for a huge photo of the queen and on our money and stuff, and but ah yeah yeah yeah the queen had sell. It still has a presence there, gotta crazy to me. What is it what I always get confused in in on
true I always think toronto is where vancouver is okay, I never can place toronto and I've been to toronto. A lot yeah toronto is a great town. It's like kind of just up from new york city. It's like a ten hour drive or something like that from new york city north. Did you do? Did you do montreal young? Ah, I did montreal. I think, maybe like five years into something like that, but I did the canadian you there's. This called the home grown competition and they fly you any new compete, but if you don't get fur it's. Second in the competition you fly home like the next day, a really yes, it's bummer, but I was able to I. I got like runner up or whatever, so I stayed in and candidate like canadian chose us as we voted, you start doing stand up in vancouver. I did yam ah like what what what was The seem like in vancouver compared to which is The bad are seen as shadows got a great seen yet
importance got a great scene are seen at. The time was great when I started was really good. I think it's changed a lot, but we had the exact out. Agnes was there. He was like filming like a tv show that he would come and do like these open. Makes for like a people like after shooting- and I never seen anyone so funny. I'd, never seen anyone who fuckin so fucking funny and super shore like smart, jokes and he would like take them. I can walk out on the street and then like cruiser. It like do whatever, and so I was really lucky to see him, but there was like there was a bite. There was a lot of really funny comics of time alone of yours alone, we recover forum of Me- or I was there eight years oh really yeah yeah, and then I moved. Ah, I would when I started, I would always watch the seinfeld documentary and I'd always see seinfeld and colin coyne hanging out at the cellar, and I was like I could only you no fuckin way.
I just recently saw that again I gotta ray. I guess I was the last time you saw us probably six years ago, but I have seen it like a hundred ten times or something like that. I'd watch it every night. It's the it's crazy that they. It's crazy. I'm gonna say this carefully, but it's crazy that they did that already yeah Well, yes, kafka's cause any anyone would talk recklessly like that, this, as they did that before really reality television. The way we know it is yeah, so you would think if you signed with the manager and they're doing documentary on their profiling. You you'd indeed at it out this shitty parts of you, but they just kept in, all this shitty ports yeah, but I but then, when you I know, and but then, when you see it like story, tat like it did soubrettes so complemented by guesses,
the film could see why they needed why they did it like I mean there's a lot. You can say about that, and I would say one thing is when you know already, that is a lot of what you get with Arnie like their way only they represented already as in order already was that guy that time in his life yeah, but it was, it was, I remember, watching it and be, unlike ah wow. That's crazy It would have been weird note: did you know or need iverson recite. Ok, sided meet him till like years later, a new order, a new warning, pretty well ass. She always interesting. Guy of you know only now, I've just Madame a couple times some burden on stage like em I've seen him kill ills on stage and but he is a very vocal do like there was that there was a generation of comics in new york. When I started that were dude
I'm trying to get the right way to set as well sounding insensitive but like deeds that the in comics did not talks busted balls on That makes sense. Yeah when I start. When did you move new york? I moved around ten years ago. Okay, so like what he's already dead right, yes, but she said the eye started coming to new york. I would like play terrible like gigs, unlike like rural british columbia, the save my money rent, an air b ebbene be for like a month and then so I have. I would come for actually move there. I would come and just kind of like china to open my to try to like he died, no place miles out of its way out. To that. I got to seem perform once his arm his So his group was like norton vos bobby- patrice
call in what a clearer, although I mean it was there was the fuckin. That's funny! I do yeah pop. I mean they were like the old, the elder state. Statesmen too, maybe even though probably as always, Jim Norton, I'm guessing but like they were still elder, statesmen, yeah how old is Jim Norton, but the one thing his eyes fibres autonomy. The one thing I'll say I remember reading press when committing first came out and seinfeld iD say that the way a thorny expresses himself away. He's berwick has every cow, Mc has that in them everyone did, but everyone but then he prithee like when he said when the I mean the my mama's memorable scene was like I was when these talks are very gods, and he goes where the fuck is the Stephen right there and you like yeah, I'm but- and I can see that but like
it's just something you I would be like. Just please don't put that bag and you are right. I mean talk about as a statesman. I mean stevie's fucking great yes, yes in, but also you could see how I mean I know, think I've ever been so unhappy with. It said that I would like touch- about civil right afterwards, but you could see after a bad sat your raw and you can say, you mean. You know your best. If you're not happy with outcomes in ngos, can I tell you give you some advice. Tat allowed yeah yeah yeah like maybe a little less of this and a little more of that and you're like yeah, I mean the most mellow dude in the world would have trouble taking that if you weren't either demeaning, especially when build up to these things like jeff outlook, a big sat and, if you're, not even if it goes well, but you just not fully happy, you know the biggest show you ve done like big, the most nervous you ve ever been a what's that
additional for the sailor was while I was there was wildly nervous really, oh god. I was dying when the you who recommended you Kevin Brandon recommended me. That's it interesting rack. These days, yeah has many controversial that up languages they that guy- and I know that you and I know that it is it- is problematic to even talk about Kevin, because Kevin will hear this and then he'll go off on a fucking rant, but I love Kevin Brennan yeah I mean he. I know that he's. I know that. I know that. Maybe you know Kevin's a little bit of a shit starter, but he was. the first time at new york whose dice I spoke to me, yeah and and and I'm I've never had a problem with him. He's talked shit about me. I've heard about it, but I braced I No fuckin guy makes me giggle total. I mean he's too he yet he he chelsea circles, hee hee
I got I will open for him, though bananas and I remember when I was on from during the day. We're at lunch and he took heaved- was talking. You would tell on the phone, and I was like this It is courageous! I'm having lunch with somebody who has David tells phone like I would it blew my mind and you know he vouched for me and then I waited a full year cause. I just moved to new york, and I like I like playing the seller was every. Thing it was my all when I first started in vancouver and so. I woke up that day when I was gonna addition and I was dying, back. Then they didn't addition that many people like what years as two thousand and twelve two thousand and ten yeah, like I think, yeah round, like probably two thousand twelve try to think too. The idea we know you I got. I got past the seller in thousand move,
I've been mark marin, never mind the buzz cox aside our past, I want to do that show in new york. It's gotta be two thousand I remember the name of that shit. I can't place that it is a pity in two thousand to ok well I said some many many YAP said demanding. I my recollections or two things number one my recollection. Many had an accident, and I know that but, in my recollection he had a fuckin strong accent. Yeah I never got to meet manual. I'd told the story, the peter to peter to peter to peep corey p. Does that's a great story, but you know many that rhinos brill did you run a whore it, is he passed me said. You know you can work here. American vouch for me, and he's. Once you have now someone, I'll stairs. I went up and he goes you're funny from work. Your honor we want- and I was like a guy called
nasty caused severe spots prevails and I went I learned allay. I said If you had passed me, six months ago I would not be living in l, a I'd be living in new york. I would I'd stayed in new york yeah. I wasn't past year and I moved to l a now have a house there and music I call on you come into the city, I go and I look like I never going to new york. I join got rid of my apartment. I was doing I coastal yeah. I got my department do this show, but I no state in new york. I got past the seller, it's so interesting because that place was such its soul. the comedy store in they in that it can be problematic for comedians. They get lost in. you know, I mean within in what sense that becomes their everything that it had become such a it. It is such a benchmark, yeah to get ass their yeah. This sometimes. That's all they need do we it's funny that you say that, because away
I was listening to the year episode with tim dillon and you guys were saying that you believe that you both said you didn't get pass and how it changed made. You move here, yeah for me. when I got past there I haven't made, go first I'd never been good at anything before, like I wasn't someone who achieved goals. So when I she'd that one I was your site and I love like the cell, is one of my favorite things that I get to do is live deliberately a fifteen minute, walk from the salary and a walked every night to a spot, and you know like it it's, feels like family and it's a great feeling to be in that to be in that it? great feeling to be like oh shit, it's nine o clock, to make my walk yeah and for me my walk with sid Abbas, comedy club. I won't I. That was an I had. I never once had anxiety about going there I was cited to go there yeah I was excited descent, santa port, whereas now I even
I go to the sellers to the store I'll. I will get a little anxiety like oh fuck, I gotta work tonight, yeah yeah. I want to just stay home with my family, open, a bottle of wine and go to sleep. I don't need what the fuck do. I need fort, but act then man that walk was hungry. Gonna cut you off bore no! No, but like. I did the same thing like at the time I was living. The west village at this level is crazy situation, my roommate with seventy five it but was living in the west Bela to her, and I would walk it was like a twelvemonth walk. Then I I live in these fields, but I would walk in be and how we think them is these the good old days as their happening like I was so grateful to be. Working at the seller? All my friends, I was so nervous because salmon are at an impasse. Normandy argument passed on accurate idea of all my friends were already passed and working there and it was one of those eyes to get it. When I first started stand up, you know when you wake up in first, that is who did you stand up as her one of whether things in my bank, my by
sat, my dish was like ten thirty years allowing ass day getting ready and again. Not a lot of people are getting past back dan and I remember I was going up and I remember watching like as I am I onstage take them back go. I could see like a tail walk down. Nikki Glaser whack there. My friends were like in the hallway, because at the time it was like a big deal to addition, yeah passes of like that and I was, I was always late to all of that. Like ireland, I got pat. I never never even got past the boss comedy club. I just work the door so like in the night and then then I know one was ever like: hey man would like you to work club. I just work the door and then I work on weekends because I died. I do weekends there, but I didn't you know like never got past the seller. When I lived there I didn't know, I moved to new york- never got past it comic strip. Gotham sand of new york. Any of those did spots there ya got past
out to allay guy, and never got past the improper dynamic up ass. This at the lot take that area pass. Factory and very quickly as I don't want to be in this group along. We do and stand before. We move to allay six months. You just started that boy I've got deal with. Will psmith my I moved to allay and moved in it. The the universal sheridan there for seven months wound around back for like a couple couple weeks, May I maybe more- and I I flew back out- maybe three months and back for three months and then I came back out- did another showcase. They showcase. For I see em and I got another deal and a tv show well and so I have my apartment in new york- knows by coastal this probably ninety nine. Now no, this is two thousand aka and two thousand I was on this tv show for about a year. It ended in two thousand one
and then you know September eleventh happen, and I are both places world. Two thousand and two I was like: I'm gonna get rid of new york, I'm not flying back and forth. Yes, move back out then that's when I met many of us for the first time ever to the seller and then still was like a boy. I do not like carte blanche to call an avails cause. Many passed away yeah and it was like and it was like. Never I like I I if I was in new york, I was like I just wanting to bother anyone I'll do spots at the boston or wherever boston was gone. I think by that time an arm the wine bar and then. And then I just would evolve and then I started doing the road, and I was I advocate, but this store was the big one for me. Ok pass. This works have grown up and I was successful already tv shows and bizarre, torn comic, and I was already like really good at stand up, and I wasn't asked and I wasn't getting past. I was. There was no track for me getting as a member bur, an owl madrigal pulled Adam it aside, narrow, like he should
ass parties. We work in areas like I bear. I can't These studies, I'm sorry. If I go build one high thought that was gonna go differently and like am so sorry, burt and then it was if there was the stink of failure is on me and everyone just kind of walked away, and I was like was like okay So what did you get that I've had it? What was the past? I feel so funny. I want to montreal one years. There was the worst who's the worst single, worse experience had gone the montreal before and I had a really great experience. I did us showcase I didn't you- Newfane, I didn't do any good by did a showcase. I did another showcase. I did I jumped in on a couple of shows- and I did a storytelling show and storytelling show was really good. It was when no one knew who I was so. I showed up like to I d like to divert stories, I did the machine on one of them and I did the story
finding a bare and it a fucking destroyed, emanate destroyed like their bit but I'm a storyteller, so I was fine and then a great modules awesome. So I go back the next your montreal and it was a gift an experience. I didn't not. I was on. One show was done by sea. So in aid in a warehouse and they had built comedy stage and a background in a warehouse and puts It's in her house like little. It was almost like like this is the warehouse they do this and built like, stage with a wall, and then just puts it's here and then this was all still a huge fucking working. I did my first. I didn't come way too soon, a comedy special in canada like four years in here, and that was the deal like you could still see like dust rising like you knew there was where the seats are. There was going to be a forklift in like twenty hours,
ginning graph, low bombed, so bad, and I am saying this respectfully decision aims we all bond beginning graph. like a legit stand up. Comic yeah vice, would huge like famous, hugely famous, when in the head, and I apologise of Janine hears us and is upset by this. But this is the truth. Went and hid in the hair and makeup and wouldn't go out to the lobby where everyone like the the waiting room where all the exacts and all the other comics were, and I went there s a we do want. Is yours, I'm embarrassed, and I said you by the way as a car, back. It was one of my favorite things to watch because it janine going was her stream. Conscious is what she does best an opinion. The I love that I thought it was brilliant. It did not go I want the audience because that there were two hit her, whereas worker the warehouse, one janine jenny was fuckin brilliant. But I said to us that you are you're fucking a mate by way truth be told, I'm so attracted to negro
well. Okay, I boys had a fucking massive crush on her, but she does her this. I hope she does. I hope she knows she's got a writer die for life? She is so fucking sexy anyway. beg you. I fucking love I love her and said she's sitting at her makeup. She's, like I'm embarrassed like a dream we all fucking bombed. I like you did not bomb she was like I did bad and I go? No! No! No! You didn't see what I did and I was like. I thought mine was horror. She was a real ago. Trust me, you did not and by the way she didn't even do remotely as bad as she thought she that yeah. So we all go into the thing and then she hung out never ones like home Janine groff lozier yeah everyone lights up, and then she was the and you know she was sober. I think, but but I and that trip Was a spiral I was drinking too much I was not being healthy, I was fat, is back
My show that I was doing for travel channel was about to get cancelled. I knew that shit end and I was, and I had nothing going on and and my best friend was blowing up tom was just about to turn a corner. In his career were like using theatres and- and I nothing going on and at a came up and was like him in it's been waiting, long use you! Your past, the store like you, I have room and I love you too great and added that whole fucking shit experience. I can tell you I was standing by the bar over to the left of the bar, where Bobby Kelly, you know they set up podcast sometime yeah you're right when you walk out of the elevators yeah I was over there and- and I was like hey, The trip was worth it. I got past. The store did my first set at the store, terrified terrify got bump by John appetite, lucy, gay and Daniel talks were here with this. Be is too. Type in both the conqueror.
As the last season of birth conquer. I remember I remember who's in therapy pretty aggressively at the time as a fucking mess. It was two thousand and eight I would therefore yet my first it was like years before I get comfortable the seller. Even even now, if one, if you do like something new and it doesn't hurt like oh, I better pull the sahel. Rio is still high. You still performing in front of that sign and still the sign that you know what Like my life, inspiration wherever. What's what so like to, sixteen. I pass this at the store screw dang this way too wait two thousand sixteen. You started Bertha Kircher into doesn't ten year and then it ended in sixteen yup to the sixteen. When I got the store I was, I was forty missy. What turning fifty plus forty four and forty five.
It's it's good. I'm glad I had all laid success. We did but when I was listening to in it's so clear, so obvious even stable, and I was listening to you temples, I so that's a debate ass thing that happened you go. Was not it so funny that life works like downwards. I, it must investments, your bomber, if you were working itself to be in new york, but it then I mean. It's like the greatest thing. That's You know, because you do you do and it's a great thing, but you can, it is feels very fulfilling and you can just walk there every. For you know, and then you wouldn't have created all your all the stuff I wouldn't. Oh, I wouldn't have been there's a lot of things are good about late success. I think we have to experience it just keep waiting yet tenure b the order you are when you succeed, the more empathetic you ordered two year, coworkers apps
oh I'm sure, yeah I mean there's, there's dudes that are probably a bad example, but, like I I can't name names. I can't remember, but I mean I won't, but. There are due to believe that this that god had anointed them with all the talent in the world yet, and so, maybe, for whatever reason they either working as hard or I don't know but like when doesn't happen to you. You realize there's no anointment going. Oh, absolutely absolutely, and also I mean it's like I mean it's even cliche, to say, but like everyone's stories of when starting out are always the stories that they talk about yeah, you know what I mean like even the beatles they talk about them being in germany and playing all those gigs and stuff like that? Well, it's it's funny. I I will you said: I'm living the best days of my life right now, yeah. I used to have a term that I I used to say: lives called salad days, your salad as our. Ah I follow
when account calls out there on the table and salad days. It's it's a I'm gonna fuck it up, but technic Leave if life is a meal, the salad is the thing that comes out the period when one is young and inexperienced coca at the or the heyday of something back to the salad days, the railroads spotlight my eyes to call when I was, I mean it I'm pretty naive in when it comes happiness I find it I've I've I readily find it. I mean I like, even when I'm depressed and I'm going with a bit of depression right now, as part of the reason, Joe called and You can see it on me. You can see it on me, but I can beryl through it and go to mindset. It's a mine say we got. I got this, you can decide to be bombed out or I can turn it around yeah usually have always done that would booze
but lately I think people can see it look more readily omics. I I've been drinking a month, but I find that those early days does it mean. The early days working the door at the barcelona club harcourt I'll days, my fair day's yeah by my fur move out to allay were first move. To allay, and I just discovered allay all the smells of different sense. Yeah. I'm a big big, like sensory shit, yeah the hardware salad days, but tv show that I'll never have better days than that touring on the road. Ten years I spent doing stand up. just on the road fucking. Grady heads either walking great or you could look back like I remember, of sinking of a gig the other day where we drove, I think it's called like murray lake or something it's like way way way up. Northern northern bc, like you're heading towards alaska, driving up doing the gig. Thank you
In the car driver, so it's like, one or two hours in the car somewhere like data and its brow so at the time. But when you look back, it does something to you when you think about it. You know meaning all those that are that struggle stuff. So then What say you left did you start in a bright after college, nia well but yeah, but I was in college for like seven years or whatever, but then I went to and then I moved to new york. I would have been I would have been in my friends. This is how this is my. I went my friends, my pa, parents were like my brother just want to call it my parents that you'd like for my health, my physical health. They didn't think I could do it, they knew if I set my mind to it, I would force myself I bet would have been. I would have been at least seven years, oh yeah, so
I moved to europe and then I think I was a mile in europe for four years. One, yes and that's how my way did stand of comedy was so round about no fuckin way, yeah! That's what I did. All my friends went to college em, an a new model in europe, a shockingly yes, real yeah, yeah it's like what was that. Where did you go? I when I saw the thing is when you start you're supposed to live, the the smart thing is to live in milan. He supposed to live in milan, but you'd be In like it would be like a college residents, only just models like I, one point: I was living in a room with five other male models. Are you pulling up modeling pictures? Now? I don't think, there's a I don't know. Those are all Those are all standard stuff but then there are any a line. I have some of my phone. I can show you after you, ve got great modeling hair, like you got like that ridiculous, their care, a hotel, just it's everywhere, and it just doesn't
I lived in milan and then I lived in. I would live in london because I like london, better and I would work in milan and work in paris. Like the runway shows. My best one of my best best friends whose these past, but he was a man Oh and I am in huge, just fight gorgeous dude, but he lived in miami a model that by miami. If that that was his, I wasn't good. Looking enough to like work in, like I wasn't like boffin, you know was before I was jack, I wasn't and to work in this. It work in the states, but in Europe they like these eggs, skinny dues with long hair and I was a skinny dude with long hair. It was during the day the heroin chic thing. How did you get? How did you get discovered a model iva? I had a friend who who's still my friend who and she was like a successful model, and I I remember I visited her in new york. All Our friends were college. Go ecology in september. This is like august, and I too
I had applied for a store job in the convenience, store a cry from my high school, which would have been like proof. The teachers they were like you're, not gonna, do anything, and unlike no shit and also you know his love charge, you a dollar, are you the chunky bar whatever the you know, so would approve them right and she was, I note, it come live with me. Introduce you to like photography that are you can be a model and I was ike I had never swam publicly without a doubt you. Don't like I was guinea and run really paranoid about it and she I didn't really generous when the people in the states- and I wasn't really the right look at the time for the states and then went europe, I did the shows and I booked, a book shows or media booked armani the first year I booked you cabana and then I Dont in europe I could work, but it my goal was that always live in new york and you know do
something not mile. I was quite embarrassed how much you jamaica money, yet you you make for staff, in a pair of dockers, yachts. You make good money, it's like the easiest like. What would you make like? I guess like for, at the time. I guess, for like fashion shows like that you'd you'd get like a few thousand bucks. If you get more, if you were, if you were if you were there famous or like the bigger whatever, but I d I cog, I did a car commercial, my last job, the whole time. I was like this, isn't what I want to do. I wanted to find something that I was like. Passionate about is really into and I'd meet. Stylus photographers and might even other models. It were like into it, and houses like this is isn't for me and I the commercial a pontiac commercial sliced alone- did the voice over there, but it paid like More money was I like thirty, five thousand bucks. So Mcdonough was like this is
going insane and I moved home to vancouver and I started doing improvidence to do and stand up really, but I lived in europe in model for four years to just such a models I have I have. I have done that before does not know. It wasn't a frequent thing. I was a bit cause. Female models are more ensue like they can have like. rock stars in my leg, formula one racers and stuff like. That is why I would have sex of models. After they retired like in a way which they retired velvet I did it to govern models, but I wasn't they weren't, like who who's the skinny behaviour and such air about what we're doing me they relate. You know, there were do, though they were like cocky by the, but for me just where I grew like my hometown of like that. I was like in my head. All tat I was like mine. The people that I look up to would not do this. The enemy like garcia, not gonna. Jerry was not gonna, let you have a downright so
I just felt weird, but in- it's so ITALY, when drugs. Yeah, I did. Did you get Really I didn't war dried frequently in high school. I did cool sites. I needed a relief and I I would like a big fan of lsd mean acid. In it. For that and skateboarding is the street it is so good. I can never get into lsd. Oh really, I to launder commitment. I needed I It wasn't long enough for me. I know dude, I need, and I felt dirty about it cause. I was like my friends, my age like their older brothers. These dudes I looked up to would be like ooh. It feels taken as like. It was like yeah still a full PA back. Then it was before, like you know, everyone's I taken, I ask in shit and I said I had a therapist and was talking to was a guy. I always just felt guilty about. Like part of me felt little bit, dirty would do drugs and he's like you.
Build so much in school. The you needed like released, it was like, took you to another dimension and immediately as a that's exact, what happened because soon, as I left high school, was modelling and stuff and they reside anti drug was available. It wasn't like mine was like just filled with drugs, we could certainly get what you want it. I was This disinterest, like I wasn t no doubt, but I was distant, You said it was real. Just when school, when he was gate yeah I just needed an escape yeah. I have a weird thing going on with alcohol right now and I can't figure it out by have like, like we drank lot yacht yesterday. Dramatic, never could turned the corner on the buzz I guess you could never get. I ve never wear it. Were you drunk nope wow? I drink a lot. I dude, I marvel and they win because I know you party, we are on the road and started, and I have you no good friends of work to do to the most How do you do and then you like, wake up and go?
the treadmill yeah if I'm hung over I'm just like talk about depressed, oh no, I love working out or among over really yeah joe. I feel I've I've. Feel if I'm number it's it's interesting. What, then Have you found adjacent to the dead like what do you like now because, like theirs, I feel like the bans that they want you, the like that are based on the dead aren't, but I feel like what the dead did. Teach us a list of things that We can appreciate music that are like
must be the loved you, love and special sauce, ok and I ve never been able to turn the quarry or the spaghetti incident yeah. I I it's so bad in it so painful for people that I date, but I my favorite ban is grateful dead and my second favorite band is the jerry garcia band and I just listen to cause. I ride all the time I'm working for it was grissom and garcia is a great yeah, all his bluegrass stuff and then now, ah bob weir, my favorite dyslexic, is playing with like an orchestra in it's amazing. It really he's playing dead to the horn section and its. Steel, and it's incredible also so so somewhere in and I saw these hippies on the side of the road and about this civic centre, and I said him all over your what the fuck is there. I sniffed it out
sniffed it out, and I wonder what the fuck is there, because I want to be there I said, I don't know whose play thereby guaranteeing them a like whose their yeah no you won't, it's not what you think it is and what isn't she goes? Bob we're and I went Are you fucking kidding me? Finally, we can. We put a pin, what we're doing right now and go back there she's like honey. We can't and I was like, but I heard it's fuckin amaze yeah. How recently with us to against ah dude it's yeah, I mean partly because he was a cycle, but always a kid, a lot bob we're with such a bad ass. In the he's playing all these hippies. I kinda, like ladies he's wearing cut off jean shorts. You put up cut off jean your enemy don t shirt and a pink guitar like that that, so this all the vague
stay, deadhead yeah! That's that's! How about Bobby just does his own thing. Maybe sedgy original original dude, yeah I gotta go barbara pull up top ten grateful dead, songs and, let's let us go through an rank. Ok it's interesting because I would say I'm a casual dead, deadhead yeah. What I listened to it way more. Then it's one of my go to three gouges? It's it's we'll go a meaning like to mark tomorrow morning, yeah, I will go on to cause it's my birthday. I'll go onto to sonos yeah I'll put in some music and my go to tools. Are the dead will go and invite her panic, oh, go as my three go: two's, every now and then the doors or throw unlike the doors but they don't really deliver the way like cars, you'd, love, falco,
which is when Phil lash the dead played with welcome this summer. They put a bunch of shows, sir. Yes, I'm sure, there's bootleg recordings on and alive so they played some we'll go tunes and some dead tunes. While I gotta be hours. Do I feel like I feel like the top ten dead. Songs are I want to say this. I hope the sense and disrespectful just at tat the pedestrian for like think their songs. Everyone knows numb sure my wife would know any them yeah it. Forty two more fire on the mountain yeah like that see. There's where I start stephen yeah the amene broke, the broken I don't really broke down. Palace was the name of that movie. Declare danes was in and it was based on. A song I do know is based on that song, but that song, just oh, my god, it's hard to keep tears in your tear ducks without tune estimated profit
mean I love all these tunes. I know you mean, like certain songs, I say trucking or like all you got to the top standing on the morrow dude standing on the move, I cat some with one of my favorites standing on the moon is: the greatest love song. I'll? Send you the right version and just Jerry soul, you you, you can feel at any god standing on the moon is an absolute faith. I love ripple and I don't mean to this town count rebel. I love ripple, no ripples beautiful. I mean I, I love isler magnolias, a beautiful all sugar meg noise beautiful tune. I mean I love every like, You grey was there only big hit tat night, you listen to gaelic such a great tune, meda I love like David that live, they could jam and a little bit I saw you I feel like I feel, like I've earned everything I've ever worked for one
dr my mercedes us need such a great o totally. Yes, the vibe I've been good. Looking for my whole, yeah all it's such surgeon optimistic tune. It such an optimistic tune in the in the eighties. They asked jerry work modern music highlight and you think he would say like some like crazy band, wherever he goes don't be happy because I really like- with its aung san, he was an optimistic. Do many city acted for in this lifetime after for fun lifetime a fun here, man, but shaped to me A shakedown street, you be your tune, nasa used lesson move to shakedown street. It's funny. I I got there were like three dead albums that I played on repeat in my truck all remind me of dope campbell stadium. Or to stay, because that's where I worked every night, and so that's what I'd listen to is that we have.
We had a space in in dough campbell that we would work out of, but you kind of the whole stadium yourself. Oh god, home was there and we had no music. So I just back my truck, the stadium and I opened the doors and you know clean your truck. Listen to music smoke, a cigarette yeah like and just wait for the phone ring. That's all we did was answer phone calls, but that's what I turned the corner with the dead roused like I I'm starting to get all of it. Yeah it comes from the plane album from beginning to end and get all of it. Yeah, there's no better feeling when you get all of a ban yeah, absolutely and there's just salva mean they played over two thousand shows and that's What I mean, I wouldn't listen you and I'm, but I would listen to, alive, show. So I'd have like my favorite performance of a certainty, and when I started writing so modeled move, to before I started stand up. I was working for a company, the meda kids movies, as it that's couldn't type I would raise.
Down scenes on legal pads and send them to there was the you know our bodies, you know the dog the guy. Isn't he had poppies and then they brought me inter so, if you had the first, but he's a few words first, their bodies, there are so many dead references in that movie. It because I was listening to shows- and I would say I have this cyclopaedia of all dead shows, and I would you like put on a shy, but I like You know it show from seventy eight and I would go through cyclopaedia and then dead had to read reviews, so they talk about each tune. So was like my college kind of as I'm writing dialogue for pathways. What's the bestead show you you think in your opinion, I mean in my favorite shows that they played, and this would mean something you they place. I love and its because of how I was really high stephen. I first heard it and it blew my fucking mine with
seventy eight red rocks and their dude the the there eyes of the world sallow jerry's just fucking its wild, but then they played they like different areas where they were great. They were, I mean they were great along, but then in eighty nine they two shows and they came out on seed either. Amazing. It they're called out, formerly the war locks they play. These two shows in virginia beach in october of eighty nine and both those those are cattle, are like you get goosebumps all time, but yeah this. This is a great. This is, I love the shell and then anything spring. Seventy seven is, like kind of alike, considered to be best can appear really springs every seven year drenched in their ban that started in the sixties. Laxity live lasted two. The seven first hit. Eighty seven, you wanna talk about
peeking lay there was the first time they started selling records and then and then he died and what I do know. Ninety five daddy ninety five yeah crazy. He was back again. He was mexican yeah, but that's insane. This is it connects. I have my mom when he died. I found my mom and before I could even say anything she said I know dear. Does she knew how far and I was so fucked up when he passed? Will you think what he would like? What do you think why the dead, like I'm, trying to think Why would I do love them because, of where you were out when you are introduced to them, or is it something that they do that like lax as you think. It's like a perfect storm. Any I think that it is such a rich for one I got to observe Freedom from such a different place because there's not in cash It's not the way. Look in the states, I'm sure
in every single school picture. When we were in school. There was a kid with a tie. Dyed shirt and you know someone's highschool quote- was as long strange trip like dead heads everywhere. Then there was deadheads that were frat boys and the deadheads it were. You know if the hippies and all the stuff there was, you know there was like an uncle that was adopted in Canada. I didn't know that much about them, so I got to just without kind of all the baggage that they come with and then just the way they started. They were just a band and then they got hired to do there. The tasks, so they were just taking turns of lsd and just figure it out the same way. A comic would just go up and just dick around. And a grown up suddenly became you know so much so they started sixty five and then there was all these great bands of that time and they just kept going there. But would pass and they kept going that and I think, garcia was, I just you know, The really really like one in a lifetime gifted musician
like you really genuinely, was what was like water. Five things you're interested in most in life like like, if, go to my thing. You will see that I googled dogs alot a guy, often more Google dogs- and I liked surfing ought. Even though I dont really technically surf, I watch the those of serving a lot yeah. It's funny the things that I'm interested. I know you're interested and watches book like what are like three other things. Dad watches the things that are things that I would you like pass at, yet grateful dead. Watches, oh the watch you weren't now o day. Abroad. I want it is that this issue this is the new pepsi, really yeah, I brought I wanted to show you cause. I know you like new watches. Two thousand and eighteen, or something like that. Darts fucking, but each one of these looks different, so you just go like when my the guy that I buy watches from when he had this in. He was like, I know
if Phil wants to sweat cause, some of them may be. The hands won't match the loom, which is fine, because the hands were made in a different factory and stuff at the time, but this is to me. This is just the perfect Well yeah. Well, you know I get lost in it. I can just stare at it for hours away hold on to Kevin Chrissy. Just texted me to see a comic oh yeah. Oh I'm so fucking awesome, hang on a day like addicted deck than alone? No, no! He here, I'm sure he's a this is this is what he the picture he sent me is magna heavy yeah told he wanted the gnp. So I mean these are both pepsi, so he's. So this is the night. This is that exact watch. You just pulled out summit The nineteen seven day is sixty seventy five. This is the exact same year, long ie, that's it and that's my buddies. Crafted tell her. These are my friends. I went for dinner with cameras night really yeah. That's that that's where I buy my watches craft until it really yeah. This is, I just think,
the story on that watch or whatever story I heard was that pan am had them made it for their clients in that's why the red- and that's why the red and blue yeah- and they do that. It was when that two time when they first started transatlantic flights yeah, and so that that's why there's the the twelve, the the twenty four things so Edwards I think, is that that's a grey watch were comic, always on the road yeah. I have the the sub mariner, which I love, but I didn't realize, is and did really Is it because I knew it as a kid, but it set for, like ok, We entered the water here and so now I know, fifteen minutes is probably as long as we are underwater yeah, but this is the which is so. Interesting I love I love so that prevented some subtle, beautiful and I have this. I shall brought my other fucking watch out. I really get
kick out of watches. I dont know what it is. I do not know what it is they thrill me last night camp was pulling out. He'll polemic, appall, newman, he'll polo three hundred and fifty thousand dollar Paul new method, relax daytona, and I mean it Wasn't my phone of me wearing your just like ugh, I don't know so beautiful the guy who did my light latest photo shoots and I think you'll appreciate this cause. So I I was never really into watches per se, meaning dad gave you a rolex of whatever the based model just the base. Based on the dollar or old oyster, to prejudge, also perpetual when I was day. Nineteen years old, he thought he was gonna die. It was his watch you want to give it to me. See tat. He was dying.
Living in getting himself another walks in any ended up making money for the first time. This like when I went first went to college. He was, he was making. It was big, paying bills yeah and we could afford things, but he wasn't making money and then we see make money, but a few watches than he really liked. So the first day I got. I can tell you the day and where I was when I went, a watches were pretty for cool my dad watch, I'm about to show you let me where he gave it to me to wear for the day and we had just a ga- and I was a loser comic. I was not doing Well, as a comic I was featuring, I was feet. Bring around the country. I was making maybe seven hundred dollars, and I put this watch on my dad's watch yeah and I've sat in my car and I remember looking at my risk when I feel good about myself. And I was like. I know that this isn't my watch, I know, have an earnest watch yeah, but this I feel good about myself. I went that's crazy. That a piece of just a piece of jury like that and really change how you feel about yourself.
Then he gave me this watch when asked forty. I got this watch them. This is This is an as fighting gorgeous do this is I I have a date. It go daddy and I wouldn't we met. I was wearing out of it as a blue face this the beautiful. What an you know what is cool when I see the sub, I always- like how many wise I always associated with Lukas louie, always wore The gun most of especial, sees wearing a black sea. With the date on days like yours, at an older version. That's like that, not there, he has idle basil, not them! That's your comment and I always associate the gold day day with you, because you're always wearing elsewhere in the so called to have a wide like to be happy. Watch associated may never is beautiful. That dialogue is beautiful. I never knew tat. This is a nice, never get it I wish this isn't fucking parliamentary, my
that's, an amazing condition, the eye it saw it some this beautiful yeah. I love this. I think, the what I love about, watches is think of all the adventures. That's gone down with that watch, an o touring the like. Don't get plane off a cliff in tanzania every where it opened up? Oh no and I had to hold my hand out like that, so I didn't lose it over the eyes watch. This watch This was my watch and demonstrated running I'd. I'd started wearing like fitness, watches. Then I kind of got out of wearing just for a little bit and fuckin too I'm not me back into watches and he was like. I just I just recently kind of red. Discovered, like the funding the fund than it is. Payment to buy like Tom one of the way you guys will see it for a while, but his. Maybe you've already seen it I dunno when this airs he goes from his high rate about people's tom, buys, watches and people go and cars.
He buys watches and cars and he spends money. He It has no problem spending money I didn't know you had a big I'd. So he's gotta like fair size, watch collection really I'll go go, oh Is it all? Is it modern stuff for what is he left the butter robots? My dad gave me that that John wifi, I will always with the gulf is woven by debt in a bar, with a goal thanks yeah two tone, bracelet or a watch, because that's cool grace. I could see you rocking that for sure man I love that watch as bad as so m. There is often a target of one of our two bears about fans. Gettin shitty, Employers are like hey man we feel shitty about. I don't have any other stuff that you have you not talk about your cars in your watches and then Tom just goes off in a fucking rat. Rant, but was interesting about time that people don't knows, I think they think they bay he's been. Successful whole fucking career and he
definitely hasn't. It was interesting about tom and what I find fascinating about myself in new in this. Is that part of the fun is googling them and learning about dude one hundred percent debt, so that, if your ever in this situation to will you have money. You know what you when a buying righteous the fucking new kid with money goes into a rolex or as leah. What do you have a wooden like if I'm going through a up or fungal in through the thing I love the watches? Is it so far removed from comedy from even you know, have specific kind, a watch friends would have, but it's really just a thing that I get into myself and all the others dive deep. Now. Watch the so many great videos mean came from got to tell great watch. Videos reached talks about them
Yeah he's on instagram! Maybe I know this guy except I will follow a couple of watch guys. He he just got a great. I don't understand why he doesn't have more views on youtube, but he does these great videos it's tailored, like like a suit but his his but if he does everybody we've already googled him. He does. He youtube videos where he he'll go through like look at those parliaments become on my the guy that I have to wait. When am I receive the night, I told you, the guy that together did my flask photo shoot his dad gay. I'm a unoriginal, the pall newman? Why we got interrupted. Is that what he said- and he said he said, his dad got it. I think got it college, maybe or he got it when he was in college. He's got my age so could have made sense. It was his desk out. It's gettin cool outside and there is nothing better than a real janet. Fire there's nothing like

Bert goes my wisely, so bill entirely. Thailand. How are you feel is what we're talking about watches, fills, what's fills a great comic but fills also massively dyslexic, yeah I'm writing a book about design the positive side of dyslexia sex, it's exactly it when you're in it and winter at school as each partner you just
it feels like Hell, but when you get out there is a great as like parents of dislike whose agree my god was a book called David and goliath. If you that chapter about other dislike it here, makes you feel so good, and then you can see those thing jam. That's that's what my mom did for me. Said to me. You got me through, but that's the big thing is like getting kids dictum maintain their self esteem and no if you told that you're not smart you're, made to feel that way. But then, when you get a score yo, you realize you're like oh, no, that just wasn't for me, but what is for me is everything else, from now on traditional absolutely and if it was, it would show that she's smarter than like the
average student one hundred was that's part of being dyslexic, but you should have been on a you should have been in on this podcast. A box for me, because you can you hear sent over here. Just so people can see you and can hear you a little bit. You laugh is please so oh I thought something was up when she was four and and her first grade teacher? Finally, I'd ask bunch of people principle: everybody like no, no it'll, it happens late for all. A lot of kids will relate and I was like it's not what's happening. She doesn't know or a b c's but she's her language is so sophisticated, something's, not working right.
Yeah, because the language was like really good. Yeah abs tabular is the same thing with me and my they would try to fail me every year and my mom would go in and go like. No, he he's a smart kid were trying to pinpoint, and obviously I'm a lot older than your daughter and so back. Then they didn't know anything wasn't even it took them years to diagnose me as dyslexic, whereas I could, if you just told me that if you said I'd, have I have a four year old? That's very sociable very articulate, is struggling Rita, Michael she's dislikes, the totally one hundred percent. While you know what happened for us, which I think is actually criminal. In my opinion, is she her first grade teacher is that we need to have tested. We haven't arrested and the site knowledge is that work for the school works for the district said to me. I can't really say this, but she's like sick, but I can't diagnose her as that, because we don't recognize our state of California does not
recognize dyslexia as a learning disability, so I have to find something else to diagnose her with so there. She can get services, so she can get more time on tests. So this one, Ok, my daughter's sixteen, it that's Sid ain't. So you know how the steady, california, finally just recognised it when my daughter was in middle school because an Eight year old boy lobbied sacramento for two years and spoke to the legislature as sacramentos and got them to just recognize. It were so far behind his estate for dyslexia, remediation that no one in the school district knows how to remain remediate it because it was never recognise that makes me so angry yet because of child abuse This was a decision has as essential. Is being denied and education because you go to.
Stated georgia. They were mediate. They recognize dyslexia. First, second grade assumes it pops up and re mediated immediate. What you will immediately, because would it was an old, I'm sorry wasn't expecting to be sorry the fuck, but how can you be in a like? So your job is to educate children, but if you don't recognize the discipline would you effect? Is that going to have on them it's going to have a terrible effect. I was talking to bert about the percentage of inmates in prison that have learning differences? It's because you told you dumb, then you finish school and you've said you. You are a little grumpy because you were abused for six hours, you're going to steal something you're going to get in a fight you're going to vandalize something or whatever, and then it begins it's. Has proven its one hundred percent diagnosed by middle school, a lot of It's end up on the wrong side of right this by the time they graduate or they don't even graduate. I yeah. I said was, but seven of it and yes it made in it
At that I don't. I don't like the idea, I think, I think I remember that when there is so high- and it makes so much sense to me- I work with I'd. I have you ever heard about I here and there and normalization there actually based in california, and they advocate for kids with learning differences, and the big thing David who's, the president of it is amazing guy he was nominated for a cnn heroes award. It's not! bout like people like whoa, Can you teach my dyslexic to read it? I know it's not about you, it's about maintaining self esteem ass, so they don't have this baggage from high school. For the as to the life. That is right. It so in the teen years are for me I was twenty three when I graduated high school in Michigan, but the turkey heavy goes up writing a book about decks. Like fear, at least I think that's what it's about. That's funny. I had to do georgia, I mean sorry, I had to with our teachers in elementary school. The teachers
both said to me. I just don't know what you're gonna do, I'm and I thought, if that's me, what message are you giving my kid in your last year when you're not there when exactly the year, they a sober, and this is today like worry when we were kids, it s. Okay, we didn't know enough. Yours is today yes now it should not be thou I have to say her high school is doing a great job in that They don't know how to remediate eating she's way. Past court remediation because for age, according to the standards in california, but I give her oral tests job written test, they ever oral book reports and its unmet she's, making hundreds on stuff where she comes home. It goes. I made a hundred on my psychology test and they they ask. To take a written test first and if she doesn't do well, they have her.
We get over orally always makes one hundred g, and I think that should happen once and once she proves that she needs it or that she shouldn't be overweight, yeah, that's great! That's! That was a great week that when I went to school I took they put the in general, every like everything, everything everything everything everything out of her fucking mind it was. I would misspell my name on the top. The test they put a file flip over and be like to hell with you people. It's been twelve years. It is TAT I was. It was road and and in the final year some weird thing happened: the school got extra money and I got a one on one teacher. So I'd go to a subject and then I'd have a Mr Armstrong would sit with me and I got like it back then, was a percentage, but I got like in the eighties I went from getting like thirty
said like they would be like we didn't know, report card could go this money percent. They were right. What are you but you gotta try, but of course they would go I go, can read this above Johnny mcdonald, who was the first time in history, canada and then answer the questions, and I will I stared at that for twenty five minutes, which was quite monotonous, and then I stared at these questions, and I can't take this put it there. But if you read it to me, I get hundred yes, please let us say be perplexed. Yeah I get so obvious they function of reading. That's it that's it. It is the function of regrets it nothing else Oh, she should be an honors or a p classes, intellectually, but she cannot handle the workload and she cannot handle the testing yeah and that's, I think, that's the educational system's fault, one hundred percent, because they should be able to give her,
the testing and the workload that stimulates her thinking and her brain and give her waves to prove what she knows that have nothing to do with her I'm gonna ride and at that time paragraphs your job is to educate someone. Yes, the same as if a chef's job is to feed someone. If they're like yeah, I can't eat peanuts and the chefs like the recipe is peanuts. I have to put peanuts like yeah you, it's insane and how many essays have you written since high school request and I do not envy the. Why are we on every subject, usa, about benjamin franklin and like fucking can eat you just tell you restore yes, it's why not, but The thing it saw heartbreaking is that I got lucky because of my mom felt the same way that you guys feel about it, but some parents down grand and then it's It'S- I mean its mission impossible. For the that the kid to succeed,
even though that smart is heartbreaking, its yes harboured, because parents, I was known as this wiki wheel at our elementary school. Where dyslexia was concerned and, Kids came up younger than her parents. Reach out to me and we were not on the same wavelength. There are many parents who are like well. What have we a tutor in like a go head is Gonna help. No, what you it's not that it's not her! No is not her joys. I yes, it's dumb, it's the it's. The system is broken. It's a systemic problem, so tutor it all day long, but that's not going to fix the problem. I'm telling you just gotta get him out of high school can allow the high school, though They love and they'll, be better than anybody out there. A coin spring began has been able to examine and then yeah a man. There are more intelligent and a lot of way out of line with than bigger brain them all, and they are in what they're into above

it's called stds or the last td. They were now they're called sgs body's gotta have a label every generation. I think they changed but yeah. I thought we just call it the clap iD, but I didn't have anything. It was a misunderstanding, but I don't know if that's appropriate, as I told you. I told you about the armpit crabs that are going around. You should ask her, I guess, pick crabs are going around. Woe right, I don't know, are having sex are sticking things and armpits and people are getting crabs in their armpit hair, really that's corporate according to our dyslexic daughter, stop right away you by the way said the other day. It is the bet one of the best jiu jitsu guys in the world. Actually, and he taught Joe jujitsu and so I said eddie's just to insist. He can get you and he goes wandering private lessons at who's coming over. That's what I thought was happening on her private Oh just coming over to give her private, than she wakes up the first morning. Just I'll. Is done for asia is the funding you have my fucking human, Hola than they, but when she was younger, what happened is
and I think what happened is We talk about her so much on. I talk about so much on stage that would become famous in her school and she didn't ask for. That is what people would like, approach with a girl, your ila from netflix and she'd. Like aloof, so she started keeping. Her weirdness to herself for a period of time that there was a agreed, but really I am a college. We like you, never going what your daughter did. I will watch she's keeping her the oder in the refrigerator. Less a wise. You name on the cap and on the base. She rub it under her nose so that she doesn't have to worry about, because no. putting deodorant on at school, so she puts on her nose so that he's taken care of everyone else, that's brilliant! Then he asked brilliant she's an outside the box. Think a hundred. That's really is brilliant. Speaking of johns arc,
told me about your daughter and then isler and then Proceeded to colored delilah for the first have like guy tat. Is there so it saves? I have. I have a job very well thanks for talking about that. All its eyes were putting it on the legal, my favorite, it's it's the topic that I get most fired up about yet and yet only You'll get one of the first copies of. Is the lily was dedicated to will be dedicated to my mom and is like it's mom's and parents dyslexic there it's have to do I maintain that and get them through high school man. What's u done high school, it's gonna be for one you develop just act like I can It stand doing something, and I d like to do because I did it for so long. So that's hey! That's it becoming a comic
it was like no. I need to have a job that I love to do something that I'm excited to do and am, and I think that that's really common among dyslexics would make sense. Yes, because she was like yeah. No, I didn't offering yeah yeah every day you I hate it. I loved I loved learning area early. I love to read. I actually like I'm a doers. I'd go home and be like I'm gonna get and secondly, by hubert up you dont have a whole day to myself. So happy this kid that is so foreign to me because our elder daughters, similar to that of the whole aspect of undue my homework, I did it. I was sort of a nerd, but not really, but I my heart just broke for her because I knew school was easy for me, but I didn't know how easy it was until I had her and then I just broke my heart. Every day should come home and I'd be like this fucking saw adjourning the pandemic. I taught her eighth grade because they would be language spoken.
You thought by coolly. It would be seen in the background it as I walk through the valley. That is not you know. American history was like read thirty pages in your textbook and answer eleven questions and I'm like that would take her six hours to read thirty pages. I don't even know if I could do like she I read. I read all history, but I wasn't in I walked in on her on taking online classes, one time keep my head in the room silently and I see her weather, and I was like this just alexa wanted to help or die round baby. You you, you figure it out, but it is it's what I think. Back my like childhood in school. It I'd pay, it's like it. Dickens novel like a picture black and why I was told by my teachers, put my desk at the back. The room face in the wall just cause
I wouldn't be in the way of legally. I guess she had to keep me indoors. I dont know what away with sure if she could have just like you know, let me for I'm sure she would have been happy to do that, its yeah it's its brutal, but how many more years hoax has a junior juniors just as your next your suit, I say all trust him good teachers this year, who get it. That's too, are letting her take a lot of oral tests and they really seem to get it ass. I raised she's asian bees. That's amazing, because she's supported hopeless you cause you get her age pity phd hpv. Maybe like you, I know that god bless your mom, oh yeah, I'll pass. I don't think it's so nice to meet you. I I. Here's. Here's what I want, here's, what you know more than I do here's what I want for anyone. Listening walk me through plucked the rolex thing because, What are the differences in your opinion of the different rolex? Ok, so like the.
You probably don't want. You want to go to a rolex. Go to roller. You go to the web. The rolex website he's so he took your body deals with like a lot of vintage they're, they're beautiful all efforts by not the indifferent, explain the beauty of a vintage role that guy an end the complications. I remember youth at it. You told me of was like in Italy- and you like- be careful about the ark markets, tat, yak Z. They serve places have reputation for putting it. You see they watch Am I, MR lehne, I think you're sleeves were down there I got limits for her fifty if Bertha your loans, your your watcher. oh get out of here that all right so wait. So so I think the air
king as a so you re, you're, saying they use like off market here. Some some places could use like upmarket parts or whatever. But if you have a relationship with the vintage watch dealer in someone that you can trust, they go through and they're like yeah. This is a factory balance or the look at what I mean. I can look at a watch and be like okay, so it employ this. Is all original the hands original everything, the the basil. You can night flippity can't tell if it was like this came off the rolex, factory floor nine. Seventy just like this, but You can sometimes see that day, though, put if you send a rolex in if you sent a roach any repair, though polish it which devalues it, though maybe replace the hands. I have a vintage explore where they replaced the hands and I sent it back. I was like no, I want my hands. The original hands back cause you want as much you want all your original. You know yeah, so So what is so for the average person? yeah if they are safe
I'm saying I'm saying like some of us and in their making, some pretty good money and they wanted, and if a big, This way I look at rolex. His is, if I have a big event- happened. My life yeah, I to celebrate us what I do ya later special or or birthday day or a movie or like a tv show. I already got something, but I also and I'll have super fancy tastes like alike, This was a lot of money for me and I am delighted. Does anyone that's incredible solve for me right now. In the event in the in the vintage market like new roll excesses are, are just hard to get because there's a weightless and you need to know not rise dealer nosed up, but for me If I was to get like suggest like a first rollicked, if you had the money there about like, say, twelve, the fifth, thousand bucks or expensive, but the vintage like it sub safe from like the eighties, are gonna have like the beautiful patina
yeah and that that I think there are undervalued in the vintage market has an end there. There are available were already click. Yes, he see like. I have yeah So I have a very similar watch that, like to me, that's beautiful that patina how its age its yellow, like that it, I think that's really prettier and I think what what's also Well about some like that. Is that p, for that? No no yeah! That's the big thing is I gotta know enough. I would like both if you're around Russell Peters l notice, it yeah right yeah invades like there was a big thing. Online is drake, just bought a parliament and it was you, think, I'm like. Oh my god, going to kill the market. If people start, if ever in order to meet the rapper set wearing vintage, rolexes then walk the price is going to he's gonna skyrocket. But for me I mean I love new pieces. I really want to get the new, the Sarah chrome daytona, so so
so they go back to the rolex place. The relaxed or so out of I think, tat So what is this? What is technically the difference between a yacht master and a sub mariner? Ok, what is the pearls I yeah I see the yacht master would be. I mean they do do a gold sub, but for me the master is a new or model on it wouldn't be from me. I love like there to traditional. Like I love the gnp you I love you empty. The comic later comic later I always have my super close. My nephew always have my one time zone where he is so. I know where he is. I know you feel it connected to someone. The gnp has just a beautiful watch. I love story of I loved the pan am part of coins thing, it's so cool, it's it's and then to me. This is a real. I love this. Monterrey here then no date sub so much. Your son, but with no day again the symmetry is peter. Oh no date sub. Oh, that's beautiful, yeah, so emily
such a subtle age, so that I mean the one of the next watches it I want to get is the fifty five thirteen? So that's the vintage, no date sub salted, no dates of interest, but go to if you gotta there, so what so what yet? I mean that those are my but then you can get like if you're, just like you want to get like a like a first first up, there's also tons of cool brands that aren't that aren't as expert. Yeah yeah yeah, but like so then, ok, so hold on. I want to focus on rocks as I can. I have a thing for rolex meeting like I just have a thing for rolex, but if you were gonna list, five brain I know rogan loves, loves. Is america? Yeah loves omega? See I for me. I just love the designs. I love the history of raw. Me too,
and I love the modern ones, I love the isle The like. I love the vintage ones, and I love the stories and I love to see how they about like to me. It's fascinating. Nineteen seventies an end two thousand and eighteen again see how it goes. What role is doing is, although china do is make a better product and eradicate. Last longer. So So this stuff well. Bezel is going to get scraped up, it's going to get bashed up. So this is Sarah chrome. You can't scrape that you can't smash it and it took so long for them to be able to make it. This is like one peace, so they have to I think I heard they make like out of one hundred, only seventy of them survive cause. It's like perfect, it's one piece, but the color, like the line is perfect, where the red to blue and and This is that is acrylic crystal so let's go Yet scraped is something that you can polished up. This is sapphire crystal so that's like you can
scratch it. You know, like you, bang your watch out the door. Has you like. I don't want to look to see what happens here and you look at it. I renew its because we have the newer watches had the sapphire crystal, while those fucking great southern sudan, The sub mariner, if you had a rank on right, now If you had to go like everyone as the watch to get is the is the steel, the steel white face daytona, they called the panda dial. So if you just go to daytona, if you scroll over a little bit you're going to get to dayton on the site right there, so click on that see that's meteorite, yet that's the whites that everyone second about the reviews girl up. Ok, so, go see these rather precious metal ones. But if you gagged, go over you'll, get to the the rico it keeps changing, go just oh over that's beautiful watch, The rose go right. There look do ok, so those are. If you go back, go back one, I'm! So sorry there see
That's a meteorite. The dial is made of a meteor soda, dial circle the girl her home, for I don't know how long a mere circle the globe yet and they have it that meteorite they have a gnp with it looks like a way. I say he right. Yes,. that circled the globe. If you go gmt, you can really see it, but yet everyone wants the that's, only gonna be on a precious metals, as can be awake, gold or yellow I fully share that, isn't that, while that's very while yeah, I think that such I think that's what are the three dials for that deb. It's like a racing wash the time, the different like one times in our one times yeah, it's the one that was so you unscrew the pushers and then you work there.
Oh really, yeah the camera seat right there, s password there, that's the watch that any their duty Then I have a friend who is a rolex dealer and I've been waiting. I waited three years for this one here and there I have been waiting years to try to get that kit at retail because you can buy them off the market, but it's so costly. I got off to buy a sky dweller, yet Bobby Kelly, has described as yahoo I and I chose not to cause. Didn't it didn't fit me, it wasn't right. It's Bobby Kelly, because the most it that's the most complex complication that rolex is ever made friends just his bobby like stuff in around stop so but the air that steel daytona. To me, as is so beautiful, It's not what if I gotta is replacing
europe, subduing european tour yachts or place, I want to go to this rolex factory in europe. Yea in in switzerland, yeah. I'm sure you can go to tour, but you could go in if you went into an eighty. If we got into your car and went to an eighty year, gonna walk in and they're gonna recognize you and they're gonna, give you you gonna be able to get whatever you want really absolutely the fans. Yes, no, yes, you Tom does- that I know upheld as that yonder rogan does the ship I heard a stir. Wish you pal did that therein vegas in chapelle went into the room again. This is a second hand or whatever, but I heard, and the eu they just have daytona. As for if the right one relax and I guarantee we went to rolex I'd, buy know the place chapels about this, the place about his oh, really. In reason, I got this was cause new rogan, oh yeah, I mean
Robin could get. You were, I'm sure you have working, they're gonna be fan and they're gonna, all of a sudden, miss loosely, have won in the safe for the lady, so the hour by hour from always, has been to say your name, because I know that she would just get then hounded by people, but she knows she's hit me. While I talk nicely about her honor catch a really cool person the whole action was so falcon. Zan I mean literally, I walked in and she was like issues What are you here for, and I was like I'm doing a show at the virgin. She was like, oh do you know dave and I was like Adele shoes. Specialness at oh, no, oh yeah, but not really, And I go my my buddy's really good friends with him say who's your buddy and I was like Joe. She was like ok, I know you, I know them she I get. The the and then I What's because I got you watched criminal and as I am, I I don't see a few issues now. I've got it and she brought such as this is your watch
well that's amazing and I was like. Oh I I don't know if I want it and she goes know that you wanted. This is your watch and I was like I was like I am not sure I don't know and I texted tom attacks at my dad affects my wife. Everyone said I should do it. Then Tom sent me. I've told the stronger before but amd sent me a very lengthy text about why I deserved by the watch for myself yeah. So I went back. I bought it, but the everything about the way she said this is your watch. I want ya and then emailed her since intact. And such like. Every time I get. No mom it really fun. When you have of new like and you can. You've, gotta, love this wall, yeah and I'll text. Her and say just hey, thanks again for this. What do I do that? I do that with by my friend, all the time send him a photo, because it's like you're the cause, it's it's with you then you go through so much and you always having watch forever dude The stories you could tell like, if you look at that, you like where the study was on your wrist for so much stuff and they're so beautiful to look at
so I love this watch. T v, that's beautiful best story is said Tom says: I'm gonna beggars. Can you help me over the rolex person I said yeah they all but had to kick him out of the store there Tell him you have to stop buying watches he wanted to buy. Everything like everything were they bring innovating obeying have long. They brought her. I think they brought out. I think they brought out enough. That he won all of it. Then they had to say now and then he went over to their protect felipe. Ah, yes- and I my god, do that start only what you got here and then there were like hold on what can't sell all of our watches, yeah or I mean a pre tax, there are protected the other just impossible to get that. Why don't I don't really get protect felipe? I like my. Why did you do to view there are I had
my body had one if it was a five hundred thousand dollar watch, it had a moon phase. Oh I saw this watch in its and it's so fucking cool erika it also for the tec, grand complication, the dude do it is The moon phase. It tell me this: is it wizardry? The moon phase is correct for a hundred and twenty years I thought. Oh, it's like a quarter. Moon, you look up. It's a quarter. Moon were there's the. There is the world times. It has all the different times and on the different visa, and these are jangle that black one has. I dont, know the big acts but the soviets written. Black right. There were the I don't love the diamonds, but that will have a moonface on it yeah right that yeah. So that's correct dude for honey in twenty years. That's a pretty bad. So actually dude you could you with
no shirt, onstage rising, die hundred thousand dollar watch. Do this is like I say, as they pull the trigger. What's the most you'd spend on the watch, I mean it depends egg. I may collect I mean I'm not. Plain red rocks, unanimous complaint clubs, so I'm already like see that look up beautiful. That is look how seventy two beautiful go to that the fifty seven eleven, the blue dial, square steel. Go down I'm sorry, read that one left left otherwise other way? That's the one do that's the that's the oh come on beautiful vasil. Could you might just rocking that you get a look at andred and twenty two thousand dollar dude this state? That's that's, might like I forget exactly how much you just can't get them retail, but retail said the new. I got one thing detail. There would be like you know, thirty or forty or something esteem,
stainless steel. That's like the hardest watch to get like that is so hard to get So I wouldn't it would be, like I think, like close to forty thousand brand new, but the market is like I mean I'm crazy about giving coes. Ah, that's like I would to me. I dont know a ton of bottom just because it's so not my style, but I feel like it would be could be wrong, but it seems like a lot of like more flash. Then smash the Firth yeah yeah. I think I like I like. I could look, it protects beliefs, but I don't no, if I'd ever be able to a minute. I dont know if I even I don't think I can afford one now. I think it would be a ridiculous purchase. I mean I make I have made ridiculous purchases, but I am, I do know the one When I first saw I had I had a vintage explore which is wrong.
Very loki. It was from the sixties, its I think beautiful. The explore was the first watch made it to the top. A mount everest is a grey, oh, they sharing. They just talked about that right. There yeah there's a vintage explorer regret, or is it up it's a while? it's a very top and director yeah. So that's my watch so that my first watch and so Loki, Riah, so low key beautiful the designs. I love it and I and then I bought a modern washer, but the batman of the blue and black gmc yeah and I bought it. I was so stoked. I remember I did Bobby Kelly's podcast. It was shipped to My parents place of vancouver and I did take a flight a six hour flight. I was just like. Oh my god, I got in there one of the morning ripped open the box. A beautiful hinge, green lose in my mind over so stoked could not afford.
It did a movie. I did a movie, it shouted in colombia like maybe six or seven years ago and ice. And all the money I made on the movie on this watch every and went to this, but- and I was so slow But I put it on and like I cannot where this stage this is too flashy. It's not my style, I wore that watch for two years before a single comment. Comic noticed really here they ate that's another thing: people just don't. I think what culture now is people are becoming a little more aware, but I never no one ever then. That's! I kind of like that to its. I give you know about watches you gonna be like I'll call. You know it's again. I will see that's a great sub, but also by agents, and we were Heaven we have been lost. And we're going around. Talking about watches agenda- and it was- it was pretty fuckin file and to have the conversation, it's a fun conversation. I love and by the way- and I mean I say it is only because I the people that are probably feel but this isn't an accessible conversation.
But it is if, if it's something you want yeah, I get it can be someday, you save for Put some money aside like like trust me on this: I might do, make a lot of money, but I I don't have I don't have the mindset where I can just go in and buy stuff crazy, yes, is not who I am so, but I can. Save up in my head and go. I can a little somethin yet and so and in an that's well, the and fun with the funniest port, actually isn't buying it. For me, the fullest ports, searching it yet learn about history and about the gmt sounds like really know anything about anything with what is lay. I know that I like, I know that I like this sub mariner, but I was like I want, which one do I want next? I know everyone wants the panda yeah, but, like I go, what would be? What do I want, and then I saw this pan am shit magnitude giants on try this. I mean the new gmt to me. I love it because it's
it's a design? Here's mine, I was but no I mean I'm I've never made a crazy it's getting over. My rest. That suits you, though this is this. Is it but looking loses with a good look and watch, this is this is beautiful dude. That's a that I'll. I love that of good either does suit me and I think it's I think, there's. Supporting this took out. Why? Yes, you prefer, where you can? You can do that. I like it, and I think it's because I saw it on magnum p eyes. Rest yeah what he wore yeah other yeah, I mean no other dizzy. I'll be word g, empty rely. Who asked the president but fidel castro he will type in Fidel castro's deal. The will absolutely absolutely he wore a gmt. I'm sure you'd get getting some sort of trouble for buying fidel castro's watch but
out there somewhere it's somewhere, see. Look at that That's it! That's the old man with a bake allay basil, so that was the basle. They were really fragile. There's like I'm, a plastic woe type in I wonder what kind of watch like Nikita khrushchev were like that. Like what do you think Kennedy war? I will that traditionally they were the the they call it the president, because of the present day date, yeah yeah, a lot of presidents. I think rfk era. If you'd be a rolex, if you do yet it see what it looks like a cat various that's your do. That version of your watch on J f k, yeah, yeah yeah in I'm, not again, I'm not! I save up and age try to buy a watch before it like this watch I bought when it was
worth a lot less money because of lack of these are gonna. Go up, so I'm the guy by vintage, because its authors, so limited of them. You mean like They can't make any man. What are they got there? The pepsi, the batman, the route bitter, the virgin tease. They got the pepsi think the hull Health is a sub. Hulk is the hour in sub, and now they have your sub with a group Green basil, which people call it like that some people call it the starbucks That's the new jean autumn accepts a good what that's sidney, who that's a good one as they see fit. Two is black and green the one who came out this year, so there is a will. There is the bad man on the they do it on the oyster bracer.
